I find it hard to believe that people promoting their latest indie film still think we're complete noobs and will buy the ruse that they're just some random horror fan who ran into something interesting and can't wait to share it with a forum they just joined.
Show us that you credit us with a modicum of intelligence and just say "Here's our new film- check it out, it's awesome!" |

Its an old tactic that was used in the MLM world, you send a email or post saying "HEY I JUST SLAPPED MY BOSS IN THE FACE" or "I JUST QUIT MY JOB" and its a link to there product they are selling.
