Affects of smoking weed when watching Horrors
 

Who else would agree that horror movies are a lot better to watch after smoking up?

Don't mean to be a stickler for grammar but shouldn't it be Effects not Affects?

Anyway I've never watched a horror movie high and probably never will since i'm done with that stuff.

Never really got the thrill. All it ever did was make me sleepy.

also I find getting high when watching horror movies very enjoyable because i havent even quite gotten to my 20's yet lol

I don't smoke weed, haven't done for years.
Though I still vapourise and make butter/edibles which I find works a lot better, health-wise in terms of the vaping, effect wise in terms of the edibles.

Yes I've had weed before watching horror films.
I find that weed allows me to go "one-track" and focus on things like music, games and movies, even reading, without letting too much outside input or undue thought process interrupt, so to speak.
This is probably pretty subjective though, weed effects everyone differently.

Of course I moderate, I don't get stoned as a motherfucker like you do when you're in your teens/early 20's...I reach a nice level, and stay there...vs back in the day, when one time I got so stoned before putting on my "Idle Hands" dvd, that I turned it off right in the first scene because it was weirding me out and I found it overwhelming, same as with another occasion when I visited the cinema to see Final Destination 3 after a brownie...shit...the opening with the fairground stuff just fucked with my head big time.
So these days I keep it chill...if I really feel like getting STONED as all hell, I'll likely hit the gym, have a long walk or bike ride - I find it's great for that.

It's easier to soak up a film/game while I'm in this state I find them more absorbing and immersive - this applies to any given genre.

In terms of horror, I won't say it's "better" or "worse" though - a good horror movie with a good atmosphere will have the desired effect with or without any illicit substance I find...though if I have some weed yes, it may enable me to get more into the overall feel of the film.

I started using ONLY vapor since this year, I got sick and couldn't smoke, instead used a vaporizer and I'm never ever ever ever going back. There is nothing good about "smoking" marijuana. With best tokes off a vapor, a cleaner high, save more. They are pretty fucking bad ass.

I smoke so much weed(too much) I can't even consider the affects... because I'm almost always stoned. It's California, I can't help it. :cool:

I didn't have any health fuck-ups, I just made the decision after a while...I don't smoke cigs, so I figured I'd cut out the one aspect of the green most likely to be problematic to my long term health.
I hacked up a bunch of crap over the first month, and now my lung capacity has increased, and I feel much more clear headed.

I've tried smoking again, usually when invited...it's funny when you walk into a smokers house, you realise it straight away - back in the day we were probably convinced that nobody could possibly tell, hm? :D
That and, yech. Really...for me it just tastes like shit now...

That depends on your perception really...I mean if you're a smoker, you may as well smoke weed - I think vaping is only really effective if you go to it 100%, the full effects of vaping both health and effect wise take some time to kick in. The main difference in my opinion is when you smoke it you get a comparatively faster initial hit, whereas if you vape it eases into it, but lasts quite a bit longer.

Agreed there. Not to mention you can use your post-vaped material for making butter/edibles.

As for the type I have, I currently have two.
I *had* a great one called the Arizer Extreme, one of the more expensive units that fills up bags...well, accidents happen...
I currently have a "Vaporstar" and a "Magic Flight Launch Box".
I'll be grabbing the one I used to have, or a Volcano towards the end of this year.

The Arizer looks like a hybrid of the Volcano & a box. Looks hella nice and expensive. I'm looking for a portable option for baseball games & concerts. I heard of a ciggarete like devices but haven't seen anything realistic online.

If you're after something portable, have a look at the MFLB.
It's probably the best and most user friendly portable I've used, it's discreet and only about the size of a matchbox, and one of the more affordable units available too.

Considering how much you have said you love Ilsa that sounds like a good night in.

I've never done it nor plan to, but I think being high is the only way to like certain movies.

I've never really wanted to watch horror when stoned. I could watch something funny like The Evil Dead or Braindead or maybe a cheesy slasher film. I tried to watch The Orphanage whilst stoned and couldn't be arsed with the subtitles (I'm fine with them sober, not just a phillistine).

I tend to get really mashed when I get stoned at all since it's usually with friends so anything too freaky would be no good for me when stoned. I'd get too trippy and freaked out with spooky films. It'd have to be either a horror/action or horror/comedy hybrid for me not to get bored or uncomfortably freaked out.
