their dog had puppies that they didn't want, so they killed them. I love how bosnian police are investigating the killing of 6 dogs, really there aren't any more important crimes going on...

Unwanted pups grow up to be feral dogs, which can either starve to death or become a menace by attacking livestock or people, and perpetuating the problem by reproducing. Drowning has long been a form of euthanasia for those unwanted pups. It's an unpleasant reality, but it is the reality.

I can understand the need to keep the numbers of ferral dogs down nd that many places cull them after tourist seasons and stuff are over-its the calousness and disregard for life that shocked me more-the fact that she enjoyed bringing death. Vile and horrible:mad:

I haven't and won't watch the video. I have seen the photos in the paper and read the article-the video was made by one of the girls companions in Croatia and the chances of actually finding out who she was are minimal. Unlike the vile woman who was caught on cctv throwing a live cat into a dustbin where she left it for 12 days until neighbours becaame aware and alerted the RSPCA-she has recieved death threats. That was in a supposed country of animal lovers!

Although the cat was found unhurt after 15 hours in the bin,this women was hunted down like a Nazi war criminal (A national newspaper put a 20k bounty on her head!),had to leave her own home due to death threats and almost fired from her job in a bank as animal loving customers refused to enter the premises!The women is certainly mentally unstable,and I don't condone what she did,but get some perspective people,at least she put the cat in the green bin for recycling ...

I agree with your point but there are more humane ways of "putting them down". Really, wouldn't you think a bullet to the head or them being taken to the vet and given a shot would have been more compassionate? I'm a good swimmer but I still have a fear of drowning.

Without someone to take care of them, domesticated dogs turn feral in order to survive. That's just the way it is. If there are other feral dogs around, they join up in packs (those that aren't killed by the pack, anyway). That's when they become dangerous, because they will hunt (and breed) in a pack.

Yes, there are more humane ways of euthanizing animals. But not everyone has access to, or can afford, a vet, which is why not every pet is sterilized. Bullets cost money; poison costs money. Neither bullets nor money are always easy to obtain. And honestly, if someone had posted a video of of pups being shot or poisoned, people would be just as outraged.

I agree, it's hard to watch. I don't think I could do it. But if I had to, I wouldn't video tape it, then post the video on the internet. That's the disgusting part, not euthanizing pups.

Still a fucked up thing to do in my book. That's all I'll say on it.

How so? Is it wrong to be a responsible pet owner and get your dog/cat spayed or neutered?

I've rescued many dogs and the dog we have now would have gone to the pound had we not taken her.

I don't liken this to killing a person, but it's fucked up just the same.

Ummm you've taken what I said the wrong way.

What I was meaning by "fucked up" was someone who doesn't do the things you mentioned and/or don't have any respect for animal's lives or well being.

I personally think there should be way harsher penalties for animal cruelty.

I don't hurt/kill animals, I refuse to. I'm a pescetarian, mainly because meat doesn't taste good and is terribly unhealthy.

I don't want all animals to suffer or anything, I just understand that in certain situations it's better to kill them.

adoption doesn't work? I assume they tried but a FREE PUPPIES sign would of done the trick possibly.
