Not that I'm against the idea of the whole Ash thing, if it was done right, I DO think they could cross these movies over successfully again, (I did a pretty big post on one way HOW quiet some time ago) with the addition of one.

Time and time again, both Freddy AND Jason have been outsmarted, and bested by none other than "mere mortals"...usually stupid little asshole kids that you hope would've got slaghtered at some point anyway, ...but they don't...
They win somehow, F or J "die", they come back for the next sequel CASH-IN, rinse, repeat...again and fucking again....
So anyway, these kids, these underdogs, these annoying little stereotypical walking stains win....so why is it that Ash,(you know... the guy with the 20+ demon headcount, who usually packs a shotgun, and has an unusual fondness for chainsaws)
wouldn't be considered a contender??
