yes - but be careful to only eat older vegetables who have given up on their lives and are looking for an exit - it just seems horrific to slaughter the poor baby vegetables (chinese food has much to answer for)

You UK people don't have Ramen? Pretty typical American college kid staple... And oddly enough, also a typical Chinese snack/meal food (you'd see them everywhere in China, and places with hot water so you could prepare them).

Apparently Ramen IS unknown in England. Dinner Impossible did an episode where Chef Irvine had to prepare a meal from food he found in a college campus dormatories. EVERY room he went to had Ramen- and he he had never heard of it. I think Indian food is far more prevalent in England.

Wonder what the Indian equivalent of Ramen is...

"Ramen" noodles are more well known over here/UK as instant or 2 Minute Noodles.

Nothing. Ramen is a Far-East product, comes mainly from Japan & China.

The locally produced ramen is usually thicker, and Indian spices add a bit of extra flavor to it. My wife makes some wonderful ramen of all varieties - adding her nicely cut vegetables, or mushrooms, or eggs, sometimes just chopped potatoes, onions & tomatoes. The zing comes from the combo of Indian spices.

Sorry for derailing your thread for a minute, Zero.

Dustin always puts eggs in his, but I won't try it that way...I seriously need to get some Indian spices and see what I can do with them.
