Internet drama/attention hoes
 

Do you think that these people are like this in real life or is the internet an outlet to do what they wouldn't do in real life?

It's an outlet. I've actually met and know people like that. 9/10 its just an online thing.

Yeh I was thinking it would definitely be an outlet thing. If not they would be quite taxing to be around storming out/having meltdowns and the like.

Last time I checked if someone were to act like that in the outside world they would be diagnosed with some kind of mental illness.

Generally speaking really but there's been a few spazz outs on here over the years that you could look up as examples :p

It was neither drama, nor a spazz out. Just complete, sheer disappointment and disillusionment.

I suppose when I first arrived here I was a bit of a drama queen, a bit too quick to start an argument. That was all just internet stuff. But I try not to think about that chapter of my HDC life...

Examples? Just go to 4chan. You'll find tons. Boxxy and DanPat are the most prevalent.

My guess is most people feel safe in front of the screen,sipping some booze or tea..and u get the real personality magnified by a thousand.I figure if your'e a huge dick on line,you are at least a small dick in person.

V,if you dont mind a newb's opinion here I'll offer one.You felt a need to take a break and you were obviously missed but drama? No way as far as I see it.You weren't in here insulting people and crying about random shit.That's drama to me.

I think it can be both an outlet and how a person is in real life. I don't know, I think I might have been a bit of an attention h00r when I signed up, but I wasn't a gorephobia or vampiric clown.

I think that attention seekers on the web are probably also attention seekers in real life. However, they can be much more blatant with it on the web due to the anonymity.

I'm the exact opposite. Online I'm confident, attentive and very 'outgoing', while in real life I'm a complete spastic. Funny someone mentioned mental illnesses because I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder a couple of years ago, complete with self harming and the entire kit. But you'd have to get to know me to know it. ^^

So like you're chilling with a good friend, they've known you for a while, thinking about watching a dvd and you're all like "guess what, lets hurt eachother"
