Jason is just a Michael Myers WannaBe.
Who was the first mute stalker killer who wore a mask? Micheal.
Who was the first slasher to consistently kill people on an important date? Micheal. What film came out first? Halloween. Jason will never be anything more than a poor man's Micheal Myers. |
jasons cool but michaels
10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000 times better than him |
you have to be kidding me michael myers should not even be said in the same sentence as JASON VOORHEES. Carpenters direction and music made halloween, the shape had and still has very little character,a tired franchise and equally weak killer. :)
|
dude whats wrong with you
you say michael and jason should not be in the same sentence when the very first sentence u used had both of their names in it |
false.

Leatherface didnt exactly speak did he. Who was the first slasher to consistently kill people on an important date? Jason doesnt always kill people on a certain date What film came out first? Texas Chainsaw Massacre came out before Halloween and so did Psycho. So according to your logic characters with similarities are clones of each other. Leatherface had a mask , same as Michael. Norman Bates used the same type of knife as Michael. Would that make Michael, a Norman Bates and Leatherface copy? |
well i think hes right they rip eachother in there own way. well it doesnt matter to me because i dont really like either of the moves halloween or friday the 13th. i think its just gets stupid watvhing people kill people for no real reason.,
|
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one.

ya but thats not talking in hallween you hear mike breath.and thats kinda of the same thing. ninther of them say a real word though

I have to disagree, while Halloween may have been a much better movie than any Friday the thirteenth film to date, poor Michael Myers has certainly not stood the test of time. Sure he was scary in the original Halloween, but in progressive sequals he has lost all that edge, while Jason - along with Mr Kruegar - has managed to make the leap from being just another unstoppable killer of the eighties to being a popular icon, Michael Myers lost a piece of himself in every sequal, so that now he's just a shadow of the Shatner-masked stalker he once was.

Well, I have heard many horror experts proclaim that Halloween single-handedly created the slasher sub-genre. TCM is not a slasher film. Psycho is not a slasher film because he only kills one person in the entire movie. You gotta kill at least 3 people to qualify IMO. I know for a fact that Friday was a rip-off of Halloween. That is what ALL of the critics say.

SFF most people say TCM was the main start of the slasher genre which it was, its just that Halloween has so many film that are based off and inspired from such Friday the 13th was inspired by Halloween but its not a copy. |
Both TCM and Halloween are equally important to the genre. They both provided great new elements to the genre, although id dare say Halloween did more to define the "slasher" genre, id say they are both equally innovative and important. Friday the 13th films are the rehashed, regurgitated stereotypes of the genre. Altho jason IS a cool character, christ even the Friday the 13th music sucks:o say it with me naw
Che eh eh eh eh AH ah ah aha ha, thats no soundtrack:o |
halloween should have ended at 2.

TCM is NOT a slasher movie. It's a cannibal movie!!! Think about the term "slasher" for a moment, what comes to mind? Well, for me, it would be the vision of a killer with a KNIFE for SLASHING. LOL Chainsaws don't slash, they shred and rip. Oh, and Leatherface did not aimlessly butcher people. His victims were DINNER, plain and simple. Anyhow, I give credit to Halloween for truly starting the sub-genre. |
Yes.
EDIT- Any movie that has a main character that dies at the end of every one is stupid. Let's make 10 movies about Jason, Myers, Freddy, Wishmaster, Child's Play, etc etc, AND RESURRECT THEM EVERY TIME OMG. There's only been a few good sequels. T2 & T3, Ace Ventura 2, and Grumpier Old Men, to name a few of them. |
There is a big diffirence between Jason and Myers, Jason has a motive and more than one great film.
|
TCM is more closely related to the revenge horror genre than the slasher genre. The only difference is that the chick escaped and went nutty instead of castrating someone
|
OK, pals, I won't deny Friday 13th borrows a lot from Halloween, even though I'm a big fan of Mr. Vorhees... But the real point is... Who gives a damn? Jason kicks ass, there are some great movies on the series... Is anything else needed?!?!
