Looking for movies with fanciful locations and creatures preferably (but doesn't have to be) with a female protagonist. Stuff like Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, and Labyrinth are all examples.

Really? I've never seen the movie, but there is nothing fanciful in the book.

What about Pan's Labyrinth...

In the recent movie they show the fanciful world the boy & girl create together.

Also, if it doesn't have to be a female protagonist, you got Never Ending Story, Dark Crystal, Willow, maybe? Stardust is a good one I think.
