This is tough. The original Night of the Living Dead is the one that spawned the genre, but Dawn of the Dead (original) is so damn cool. And Day of the Dead, well Day of the Dead has the retarded zombie, so that makes this a tough call.

I think that House of the Dead should be removed from the list and anyone caught voting for it should be shot on sight. In it's place I would like to see Return of the Living Dead (got to love the cheesiness in that franchise.) I wouldn't vote for it, but it's a hell of a lot better than House of the Dead.


I am voting Dawn of the Dead. It better be the original that we're talking about here though! The remake is pretty good, but the original is the shit!

Dawn of the Dead rocks I have sin it that many times and still not bored of it but Zombie Flesh Eaters is another fave of mine I watch that one all the time as well. House of the Dead don't bother watching it it sucks big time.....

Agreed...However, George Romero's original Night Of The Living Dead, brought us all of the rest and therefore, was the overall best zombie movie for the entire genre...In MY opinon:cool:

Dawn of the Dead 1978 is repeat the Best zombie film ever made!!!!!. Romeroe's Trilogy is the top of the heap It's strange thoe it wouldn't seem to be that hard to make a zombie film but all thoses crappy films that came out in the 80's showed Romero truely was a great director and writter. Anyway Dawn 1978 isn't just the best zombie film it's one of the Greatest horrors of all time.

I'm tellin ya, this thread's gonna be obsolite once Zombeak hits the theaters

Oh yeah, The Dead Next Door is a great movie too.
