Foolish mortal. You could never begin to grasp the source of our power. The real power. Your idea of suffering is childlike. But soon, you will see the falsity of your ways, and worship, like all wise people, the Great Electron

btw, From Dusk Til Dawn kicks ass

AmarylandPsycho 04-09-2004 11:11 PM

I like brahm stokers Dracula as well as interview with the vampire. as for werewolves gingersnaps and the howling.. You all remember that show werewolf that was on back in the day. About a werewolf that traveled around the country running into other werewolves and people. Pretty sweet show.

ShankS 04-09-2004 11:39 PM

1. Blade & Dusk Till Dawn
2. American Werewolf in London & Dog Soldiers

BudMan 04-10-2004 09:07 AM

Vampire movie---have to go with Dusk till Dawn, second would probably be the Nosferatu remake with Klaus Kinski, that thing was just dripping with atmosphere.

Werewolf---Dog Soldiers is right up there [ the lack of CGI was refreshing ] and American Werewolf in London was great.Good mix of horror and humour.

Gein84 04-10-2004 09:10 AM

i'll have tho agree with most everyone and say dusk til dawn and dog soldiers.

Anyway, Dog Soldiers did rule and I thought the best Vamp flic was Blade 1 and 2.

Blade 1 was off the hinges. Blade 2 was ok, but not as good as Blade 1. Don't you agree?

bloodygurl02 04-11-2004 07:45 PM

fav vamp movies:
bram stokers dracula
dracula 2000
lost boys
blade
not a horror movie but the jim carrey movie once bitten. it was so funny

werewolf movies:
the howling movies
amer. werewolf in paris and london

Targangil 04-11-2004 08:33 PM

The Nosferatu remake kicked arse, I'm not usually scared of rats, but the sheer amount used in this movie was unsettling, and the film stands as one of the best remakes ever, carrying the menace from the original which no other vampire movie since has achieved.

Dog soldiers was awesome, not only were the werewolves pretty damn cool (no CGI, hurrah) but I liked every single last one the characters, especially Spoon. It was nice, simple and bloody, as all werewolf movies should be.

1. Vampire Movies- Dusk Till Dawn 1 didn't like 2 & 3 very much, Blade 1 and not 2 just didn't have the edge of Blade 1, Interview with a vampire, Dracula 2000, The Breed and also John Carpenter's Los Muertos.

2. Not watched hardly any Werewolf Movies except for American Werewolf in London

Killer Clown#1 04-13-2004 08:18 AM

I never heard of Ginger Snaps either! And it doesn't sound like a horror movie either. Not to mention a werewolf movie. Ginger Snaps, what a wierd title for a werewolf movie.

I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. I just get frustrated when people come to this forum, and yet seem to be so uninformed about the horror industry.

Rotting Eye 04-14-2004 05:32 PM

Bram Stoker's Dracula, Blade 1, Dracula Dead and Loving It, John Carpenter's Vampires, Salem's Lot

An American Werewolf in London

If your referring to" An American Werewolf in Paris", that wasn't a remake. But you are correct...it sucked.

Well I know it wasn't a remake, but it was still based off of it. Just a stupid spin-off. Easier to put remake though :p

Plaguewind 04-14-2004 08:17 PM

To be perfectly honest, I tend to prefer movies which depend a lot on atmosphere... Don't have much fun with vampire movies that are all about kung fu or gunfire... In that kinda case, having vampires involved becomes a detail...

Anyway, my fav vampire movie is Bram Stoker's Dracula, with Interview With The Vampire as a close second.

Now, when it comes to werewolves... Ginger Snaps.

bridos 04-16-2004 02:51 PM

vamp: has to be blade... dusk till dawn was rockin tho

were: not only is dog soldiers th best werewolf movie ever, horror movie ever but it was the best movie ever

Plaguewind 04-16-2004 06:12 PM

OK, pal, you say so...

Shoggoth 04-18-2004 09:26 AM

Favorite vamp movies would have to be Near Dark, Subspecies, and the original Nosferatu. You can't beat a silent movie for overall creepiness.

As for werewolf movies, none out there have really made an impact on me yet. If Sleepwalkers had been changed to a werewolf story (which it almost was anyway) it would have been really good as one.
