I assumed you were'nt refering to THE Stephen King's The Shining

I like The Shining, and I like Pet Sematary, but I voted for "other." My other being Christine. That movie is just funny as hell and I love it. Here is a line that belongs in the "You're favorite horror movie quotes" thread LOL:

LMAO!!! That movie is a trip. I like the part where Buddy gives Arnie's sack lunch the knife, and just that whole scene in general.

I liked Christine and Misery too (My fav being The Shining and Pet Sematary)

I liked IT.....Tim curry is the bomb. I would like to see a re-make of it still though....the shinning is good as well....both versions.......but I still went for it

I loved the Shining, It, and Pet Semetary but I chose The Shining over the others.

i like the shining and the stand. dreamcatcher was alright.

I'm gonna have to say The Shining. Salems Lot was pretty good although a little dated [ a remake is in the works ].

I made the same poll on another horror site a few days what a concidence.

Anyway i would say my favourite is The Shining, Stanley Kubricks version all though the other version was more like the book.

King HATED Kubrick's version. That's WHY he remade it:rolleyes:

I really liked 'The Stand'. One of Gary Sinise's better performances.

I think the Stanley Kubrik version was cool. But the original was good also. Can't really decide between the two.

Pet Sematary by far (btw, I just found out today that its original theatrical release was one day after I was born. lol pointless but true)

Pet Sematary, Misery, The Stand, some of the only decent book-to-movie translations, i would love IT if it wasnt so far from the book.

Yes, it was the bomb. But, I liked The Shining better.

I love Rose Red, I only watched a few weeks ago. It was one of those movies you did not want to end. I also love IT...Dream Catcher just did not do it for me.

My vote goes for other, The Dark Half, love George Stark, he kind of reminds me of myself and the some of the things that I would love to do to some people.

I think there is a little George Stark in everyone it just a matter of how much you let it show, or act upon those impulses.

I cant decide aswel, there both great oh and Green Mile is another great Stephen King adaptation.

My favourite movie adaptation of a King story is Misery, followed by The Shawshank Redemption and Carrie, Apt Pupil also kicks arse.

I voted other, My favourite is The Running Man, I also liked The Mangler, Needful Things, The Greenmile and Trucks.

Those topiaries and this cliched ending will never replace the labyrinth and Nicholson's death from the original. The best thing about the The Shining remake is Rebecca De Mornay's performance.

I ment for me it's a three way tie. those where my fav's.

I voted for Pet Semetery but my favorite id The Dark Half. An excellent movie imo Romeros best other than the dead trilogy.
