Films you liked the first time but...

...not that much on a second viewing.

I liked The Blair Witch Project on my first watch. The second time was sort of a "meh..." and I found myself losing interest in it.

Same for a few of the F13, Halloween and NOES sequels, although all the originals still hold up to repeated viewings.

(Have to admit, there is a certain charm in the first F13 movie and I love watching it repeatedly, if I do, for some odd reason...also Tremors and From Dusk Till Dawn)

So, any worthy ones come to mind?

some of the old comedies told hold up so well......such as The Jerk. The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie are a couple of that don't stand the test of time.

The Blair Witch. Second viewing i thought this is retarded. got half way watching a thrid time couldn't manage it. Lots of other movies though which i enjoyed the first time. like the friday the 13th series. I think just our taste changes over time is all. And the jerk is a great movie...:stay away from the cans!! he shooting at the cans!! ( or he hates the cans? been so long since ive seen it) man what a classic

I think that "Shoot 'em Up" wore majorly thin when I saw it for the second time.

The Hostel & Saw flicks fit into this category for me.

Didn't mind them the first time round but have grown to really hate both series.

Shaun of the Dead is another one...

Didn't think it was all that uncalled for myself.

Ghostworld. Found the protagonist fun and charming until I watched it a second time and realized she and her friend are disgusting sociopaths and not free spirits. They're really no better than ANY of the people they deride. I hope that bus crashes.
The second time I saw the Omen it felt bloated and melodramatic. It's basically three hours of Gregory Peck looking over his glasses incredulously.

oh lord not me..

i still think its one of the best horror films ever made - i still get full value every time i see it.

i never found the girls of ghostworld likeable at all .. but i didnt think they were supposed to be .. i thought the movie was about the buscemi character and how she destroyed him..
