Scariest movie you've seen?
What is the scariest movie you've ever seen?
For me it's probly the Exorcist that scared the $hite outa me the first time i saw it! |
nothing scares me:D
|
The scaryist movie ive ever seen was hellraiser 1. I shit my pants when franks head exploded at the end, and by shit my pants, i mean that it scared the hell out of me.
|
The Cell. I love The Cell but it just freaaakked me out. Majorfreak.
Then again, I saw it in the theater when it came out, infront, by myself. I was a few years younger, too. But yeah, it fuckin' scared me. |
Poltergeist.
|
Pet Sematary
I saw this back in the summer holidays, and it was by far the eeriest thing i had ever set my eyes upon. To be more specific, the scene where the mum is having a flashback of her deranged sister, and suddenly her body twists around. This made my body prickly and i actually had to pull the sheets to my face. Im 18 for fucks sake! Anyway, i thought that was the scariest movie. |

Movies dont scare me anymore (maybe Im too old or they're too bad), but I remember The Fog from younger years. Those undeads in the fog were pretty scaring. And Hellraiser 1 too.
Its important to be young to be scared, I guess. Movies conviced me more back then. |
You know what scares me, Jaws, it is just the music though
|
mainly its the little things in horror movies that scare me ya know like when a cat pops out or somthing but as for a movie that totaly scared the hell out of me its probably "when a stranger calls" ya know the old made for tv movie.
|
I remember Friday the 13th: Part III was the 1st to scare the heck out of me.
|
Another one was ginger snaps, That was one screwed up movie :(
|
The Ring (original and new) The original when she climbs out of the TV at the end, that was really freaky.
|
The Ring
Exorcist Pet Sematary I am currently watching Hellraiser 1 for the first time, so who knows? maybe Ill add it to the list, its pretty creepy so far. |
must admit I found the latest Ring film quite spooky, some of this Jap stuff I've just got into can be quite jumpy/scary, like DarkWater.
|
Ju-on The Grudge
|
I am sooooo damn tired of everyone saying that Exorcist is the scariest movie of all time. That movie was more of a comedy. The shining with Jack Nickleson, now that was a freaky movie.
|
Deffinetly the Shinning is a scary ass movie. The book is a hell of a lot more scary. For some reason Poltergiest II always scared me. The old preacher singing "the lord is in his temple" get me every time. Also A nightmare on elm street when Freddy's arm get all long scares me too. Too add another to the list The first time I saw Candyman I closed my eyes and that the only time I can ever recall doing that....

sleepy hollow
from hell the ring all very cool i dunno if they were really that scary but they sort of were i need to watch more movies...... |

Scary Sessions
"Session 9." This came out a few years ago... it must have been direct-to-video... I don't remember much publicity about it. I thought this was going to be one of those movies that has a good scary locations and uses that to carry the movie. Well, it was packaged with great cinematography, atmosphere, and a great story. There where scenes that made me so glad I was not home alone.... creeeepy!
When I was younger, "Amityville II: The Possession" spooked me a little. |
I just have to comment on some of these:
Evil_Blonde- If Sleepy Hollow was scary to you, you need to see Pet Sematary, I have never seen someone who wasnt scared by that. The other choices are okay tho :) troymello- I am planning on renting Session 9 tomorrow, its nice to see someone else who has heard of it. |

The Exorcist, IMO
I would probably agree that "The Shining" scared me more than "The Exorcist."
In "The Exorcist," most of the time I was just saying "wow, that looked cool!"-- but it wasn't really scaring me. (This was at the age of 8 or 9.) However, I would have to defend "The Exorcist" a little and say I thought it was a little creepy BEFORE the possession. Not knowing what was going on was more scary. The attic door at my house was right outside my bedroom-- for several nights after watching, I kept thinking I was hearing noises in the attic, too! Quote:

I have a theroy that if it scares you its a good movie, so for me it is,
1. The ring 2. Ghost ship 3. feardotcom |
Oooooh scary
When I was young John Carpenter's "The THING" scarred the crap outta me, I've still seen it make people in there late teens jumps so I'd say it's a pretty good horror movie. And Goerge Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" gave me nightmares for months when I was 8.
|
halloween the 1st time i saw it or children of the corn or jaws
|
Bone collector,
BIG surprise on your selections! wow! i'm impressed. you mentioned some real classics there :) |
there r no scary movies to me
|
I know they are good selections.
|
Aliens was very freaky. (before we got all used to monsters bursting through peoples chests and such!)
The Original Chainsaw Massacre was great too. All the Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Chuckie, etc....movies just aren't scary. They are actually quite funny, but not scary. |
Not all of them were funny, but Childs play 2, when chucky takes that metre stick and beats the teacher, in the background or his shadow, he has the metrer stick at his crotch and looks like he is hitting her with his dick
|
there r no scary movies.horror movies dont scare me
