Australian cinema
Evening All,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of or knows where a website by the previous titel: australianviolentcinema has gone to? It used to show clips of films such as Last Hiuse on the Left and i spit on your Grave etc. |
And this has what exactly the fuck to do with Australian CINEMA?
|
Well
It has exactley the fuck to do with a site that was fantastic... Used to be a"australianviolentcinema"
Obviously you know everything so you should know where the FUCK I can find it then.... |
No, because I'm not some fucking geek who knows every single web site out there...
My point was, with titles like "last house on the left" and "I spit on your grave" mentioned, I would wonder why you'd go to an australian cinema site, that AND the name of your thread was "australian cinema" as opposed to "australian based cinema site" or something of the like.... |
Apologies
Very sorry I offended your internet abilities...However this was my first introductory site into the "banned" films in Aus...Ever so sory that I do not conform to your standards and I will remember to address myself correctly in the future as to not upset your internet addressing configurations.

australian movies are terrible
|
Australian filmmakers just need some fucking funding, that way they wouldn't have to go overseas to get work.
|
i love aussies
I love australian movies....Crocodile Dundee..right?.....Never heard of any aussie horrors though mate..........Am I lost or what?
I'd like to look at the site too if anyone can seem to locate it.... |
A few good horror movies were made by Australians back in the seventies and eighties, in the days when we had a local film industry, 'Picnic at hanging rock' is still the creepiest movie I've ever seen.
|
Undead was an Australian Horror movie, kinda goofy but still australian and horror.
|
Would you believe I still haven't seen Undead? It's almost impossible for local films to get any sort of distribution within Australia because the power the larger cinema chains wield, I'm looking for it on DVD.
|
Hey Targangil...
U know that picnic at hanging rock shit is meant to be a true story right? And you should see udead...true, kinda stupid, but it IS a zombie movie...it's meant to have had the biggest effects budget ever for an australian film, it pretty much shows too. |
what was the budget, like 15 bucks?
|
Aussie movies are very under budget but they do tend to do a pretty good job with some very original ideas. Like Romper Stomper, Black Rock (true and terrible), Lantana etc. Not horror but still interesting.
I thought the undead was pretty good until all the Alien artifacts took over. That cop was pretty funny. Not a huge fan of Zombie films tho. |
I forgot to add that Picnic at Hanging Rock is a true tale and the case is still open. I would LOVE to know what happened there.
|
There are some great australian films: Chopper, Two Hands & The Castle come to mind....can't think of any australian horror's though.
I'm from New Zealand and I must say thanks to mr peter jackson we have some classic horrors that hold up amongst the greatest of all time. If anyone here has not seen Braindead, Bad Taste, or Meet the Feebles do yourself a favour and see all three immediately! :) |
