Death Metal or Black Metal
 

Usually I prefer black over death metal. Although that changes depending on how I feel that particular day.

Hmmm...Opeth has been referred to as both death metal AND black metal...There is something to ponder...BTW...I LOVE OPETH:)

I couldn't say that I liked one greater than the other. As far as their sub-genre's go, I mostly listen to brutal, technical death metal(Suffocation, Decapitated, Pyrexia, etc.) and raw black metal(Darkthrone, Gorgoroth, old Emperor and old Marduk).

I'm more a black metal gal myself. I don't really like Death metal maybe for a few bands like Suffocation or Death. Black metal i'm all about the king diamond/mercyful fate

Black metal. Although I'll listen to anything that's heavy, melodic and with a decent singer.

hey, does anybody remember when there wasn't an infinite amount of sub-genre's? I miss that...

Well, I used to like King Diamond. But I haven't listened to any of his stuff in over 10 years.

Death Metal ,Black Metal , Speed Metal , Math Metal.....Oh Heck , as long as it has a good beat and you can dance to it..i'll always give it a 10 ;) - BTW OPETH IS AMAZING , and Pig Destoryer is Pure Dust :D WOOT !!!!!!!!!

I dont know ..thats hard to say...I think that black metal has a more melodic symphonic sound that u can relax and listen to..and death metal is fast and hardcore.but hey I dig them both

Death Metal for me but if I want to piss some one of I would play black metal fave bands are Bolt Thrower, Napalm Death,Morbid Angel and Brutal Truth

I haven't really listened to much metal, since I haven't been exposed to it at all, but what's the difference between black metal and death metal anyhow?
