Funny thing is I found my original 'Bumblebee' transformer in a box the other day! Used to love when you could rub their logo to see if they were good or bad!

I hate the new versions. Actually I hate that there's so many re-releases of the cool eighties toys. The new He-Men are horrible. Even the new Care Bears have plastic welded hair instead of actual synthetic hair.

Some of the new ones arn't to bad, I baught a new Unicron action figure a while back. I couldn't resist buying a 16" tall planet devouring trasnformer FROM HELL.

I think I'll keep Bumblebee! Only for nostalgic reasons - it's the only one that survived intact, the many others were all in bits and I think they've been thrown away now. Also found an old Thundercats figure! I wish I had kept my Dune figures as they would of been worth something! Still have a Battlestar Galactica ship though!

Yeah, I ave a few remnants of parts of Transformers, but othe then Unircron I don't have any vintage ones.

I have a growing collection of Generation 1 Transformers. Altho they are the reissues, because theres no way im paying $90 when i can get the exact same thing, NEW, for $30 i have currently.

The reissues are worthless hacks of true transformers. A clone is not the real thing.

In most cases i would agree. Authenticity and pure nostolgia reasons, but being logical, it makes more financial sense to buy the reissues. As much as buying 80's toys for nostolgia CAN make any financial sense....

i agree about the updates 80's toys. some of the care bears have different designs on them like share bear in the 80's had a milkshake on her tummy and now its 2 lolipops and i think they mave have created some news one or changed colors on a few. the 80's he man figures r ugly looking. and the new transformers suck. i used to watch transformers w/ my brother. he has some of the originals like optimus prime. he was even looking in to buying the seasons of transformers on dvd

I bought the first season and 1/2 the second season. Ill be buying the rest of them eventually but like all transformers they are expensive as SHIT:eek: great buys tho, hours of entertainment and some of the episodes are fucking hilarious.

they r definitly expensive which is y i think my brother hasn't bought them yet. i am looking in to getting the first 2 complete seasons of jem on dvd. u can get both in the same box set for $50. i am even looking in to buying this one power ranger dvd w/ 5 greatest power ranger episodes on it.

I just picked up one of the new alternators tongiht, 20 bucks, looks EXACTLY like the car in car form, has complete interrior, seats, rubber wheels, and engine, but transforms into an even more hardcore robot.

I just got another one of the DVD sets today. I have seasons 1-3 (the first half of 3, i still need the second half), my dvd sets are almost complete.:p

Season 3 sucks, especially the intro song, they should have stopped after the movie.

Its got some good episodes, allbeit few-and-far-between. The loss of Optimus and Megatron did hurt the series tho i think, as ratings obviously depicted...
