i would apreciate alot of good examples of horror movies of this kind.

thank you!

how bout 'what lies beneath', poltergeist, 13 ghosts, the amityville horror.

BudMan 02-27-2004 03:40 PM

Nothing like a good ghost story. The Changling, The Eye [asian horror ] ,The Legend of Hell House, to name a few.

Splatter Phreak 03-01-2004 02:44 AM

The Entity was pretty nifty.

sleepaway 03-01-2004 04:38 AM

The Haunting (original), The Innocents, Ghost Story, The Watcher In The Woods.

Vodstok 03-01-2004 05:58 AM

House on Haunted Hill was not a very good movie, but it was pretty freaky. Poltergeist is a classic.

What lies beneath was surprisingly good. The ghost at the end scared the shit out of me. i didnt expect her to be quite that scary.

The ring is technically a ghost story. i think.

Killer Clown#1 03-01-2004 06:40 AM

Poltergeist and my personal favorite Ghost Busters

DarkwingMantis 03-01-2004 10:54 AM

I love ghosts!!!!!!! We'll have to talk about this because I would love to know about more that I haven't seen. I try to see all of them, but am limited to our video stores, can't download yet.

What are your favorites?

I LOVE ghost movies...but unfortunately most of the good ones have already been named, which just shows how few there really are. My favorites of the stuff previously mentioned: Devil's Backbone, The Innocents, The Haunting (original), The Others, and The Changeling.

Some other ghost stuff I like: Haunted (the Kate Beckinsale movie), The Lady in White, and The Tomb of Ligeia.

Have you read Pharos by Alice Thompson? It's a great classic-style ghost story.

I have written this one down, what is it about?

After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?
from IMDB. It's on a much larger scale than it sounds, the last part borders on apocalyptic

You'll have to get it off Ebay unless you've got a region free DVD player

unless you got a dvd drive in your pc, we can get round any regional issues

KRUGERKID13 06-06-2004 12:24 AM

how

zwoti 06-06-2004 12:31 AM

assuming you are using something like powerdvd or windvd, there is software that blocks the region changing info going back to the drive. so you get to watch dvd from all the regions without your drive "locking" into a specific region.

KRUGERKID13 06-06-2004 12:34 AM

awsome man thanks alot
