Same here. And the Prom Night remake was dull, dull, DULL. Well, at least I thought so.

Anyway, been re watching a lot, going into Halloween. Just watched Fright Night and In the Mouth of Madness over the weekend. Started out with Trick or Treat at the beginning of the month. A movie I still think is a lot of fun, if silly.

Nope, it's in the wrong section! ;)

Seriously though, so far I've only watched a few but I have a list of movies to buy for a party (fun ones, can you believe I don't have Adams Family). So far I've seen Quarantine, Equinox, and Blood Car... not much horror lately I'm afraid.

newb 10-15-2008 03:56 PM

hmmmm..lets see..I haven't had a lot of time to really get into a lot of movie watching......watched [REC] the other night....The Signal last night.....maybe Feast 2 tonight.

VampiricClown 10-15-2008 03:57 PM

Quarantine (2008). That's about it so far. I usually don't start my movie countdown til a week before.

Painfulldeath 10-15-2008 04:00 PM

(rec), Halloween 1 and 2, Inside, High Tension, Night of 1000 corpses, Dog Soldiers, Dawn of the Dead (original), Suspiria, The Omen and the Shining. Yes I have lots of free time as of late.:)

I loved The Signal, it was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't really expecting much.
I really, really want to see [REC], I just refuse to watch the remake until I see it first.

Dante'sInferno 10-15-2008 04:04 PM

Dead and Deader,Dead men walking,Leprechaun,Pumpkinhead,American Psycho,i plan on watching more and more that i like, probably next week.

Thanks! I have the Wicker Man on tap for tonight. I'm a sucker for 70s Horror.

Elvis_Christ 10-15-2008 04:08 PM

Don't remember to be honest. I've been mainly watching Ninja, Gang, and Barbarian flicks lately and action movies.

Despare 10-15-2008 04:29 PM

The Signal has been on my list for quite some time now... I think I'll save it right until Halloween.

Doc Faustus 10-15-2008 05:10 PM

This week: Tenebre, Hangover Square, One Body Too Many, Monolith Monsters, Incredible Shrinking Man, Mark of the Vampire, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Bride of the Gorilla, Creature from the Haunted Sea

Another great list!

pinkfloyd45769 10-15-2008 05:19 PM

Where do you guys find these movies?I can't find half of the ones that are mentioned on here.

Are you sure Netflix doesn't have them?

Doc Faustus 10-15-2008 05:35 PM

A lot of the ones on my list aren't packaged by themselves. There's a great fifties sci fi collection that has Monolith Monsters and Incredible Shrinking Man, most of the rest are on a 50 Horror movie set and Hangover Square is in the Fox Horror classics box.

The_Return 10-15-2008 05:36 PM

[REC], Night of the Living Dead (1990), Nightbreed, The Cell, Demons, Final Destination 2.

Not nearly as good a list as it should be by this point in the month, but I've been busy. This coming week will be filled with horror-y goodness!

That's a pretty, pretty set...but she ain't cheap.

I just started a new job and get paid a fair chunk more than my old one...might grab that to treat myself :)

Doc Faustus 10-15-2008 05:41 PM

I got it for twenty bucks before they combined volume one and two.

urgeok2 10-15-2008 05:51 PM

only horror i've watched in ages is the Monster Slayer one.

we'll start watching more kid friendly ones on a more regular basis the week before.

Elvis_Christ 10-15-2008 06:06 PM

Invaders From Mars? Loved that one when I was a kid.

no - but i think he can handle Fido ..

just trying to remember how weird it got with the guy who had the young zombie girlfriend :)

a very cool thing about us watching Invaders from Mars now - is that my kid met and got his picture taken with both Karen Black and Tobe Hooper ... that makes it even more special

I just download torrents. Also, you can check out Nabolister.com or watch-movies.net for streaming flicks. I end up buying the DVDs if I know I'll watch the movie more than once.

Nella 10-18-2008 07:49 AM

I've watched Inside, Irreversible, and I'm about to watch Requiem for a Dream. I usually try to catch the original Halloween on TV.

Doc Faustus 10-18-2008 08:27 AM

Wow, those'll perk you right up. I recommend Young Frankenstein.

I've never seen it but I liked the latest Frankenstein (with Helena Bonham Carter). I'll try that one. Thanks, Doc.

So I'm having two movie nights, one for everybody (not too gory...) and another for the more hardcore horror fans (anything goes). I think for the first I'm going to have Ghostbusters, Tremors, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Army of Darkness, and some Halloween cartoons. Afterward the group will leave and some of us will go watch Saw V.

Jason Grimm 10-19-2008 11:50 PM
