Nfl 2008

Any US football fans here. If so, tell me your views on the season so far. And for non US sports fans, please insult the sport to the max(you probably wont get an arguement from me). I'm from N.O. and was raised to be a Saints fan(which I'm not). I became a Packer fan(cheesehead to the uninitiated) in my youth and am forced to root for the NY Jets this season, due to Brett Favre's departure. I also currently live between Miami and Tampa Bay, both cities housing teams I hate. Comments?

I'm from Bmore, so I love the Ravens. Though we're 2-2, we can still come back with a run. I'm not as sad because the steelers and titans games weren't blowouts---they were three point defeats, so our defense, besides injuries is still pretty solid. Keeping in mind both 1 & 2 qbs are out and we're playing a good number of rookies, it's not so bad...

But...ironically enough I didn't start being a ravens fall til after we won the superbowl in 2001. Before I was (and still am) a Patriots and Titans fan. At first it was becasue of Jersey blends and design (my fav color is blue), but very soon after I started loving the game. So from 2003 going up-that's when I became a bigger footbal fan than I was before.

I'm a Oakland Raiders fan, have been since I was old enough to watch football.

Yes, it's been a long six years.

Who was your favorite player on the roster? Have a favorite position?

GO PATS!!

Shame about Brady, though. He is movie star handsome.

Personally, I'm a HUGE Lawrence Maroney fan.

I don't really follow the football, but I like my hometeam to win. I follow it in the abstract.

Awesome me too!

My favs are Tom Brady--my nickname for him is "T. Breezy or T. Brizzle" I like to mix and match, Maroney, Randy Moss, Ted Bruschi...so mad Asante Samuel left us...and Deion Branch..oh well....I've always supported the PAts though...though I still feel we were robbed in the Superbowl and we had a lot of injuries during and before that Broncos game in the 06 or 05 playoffs....

Right now it's Kirk Morrison. I love the heart the guy plays with. Also a Shane Lechler fan, whom has been the only consistently good player on our team for the last 6 years.

I've always liked Defensive End. Derrick Burgess is a beast if he can get going.

Is robbed a euphemism for outplayed?

Anyway.. Saints, Packers, and Jets fan(At least for Favre's duration).

Saints- Best offense in the league, led by a QB playing as good if not better than anyone. The best open field weapon in the game. And a decent defense, that I had no idea was capable of shutting down Adrian Peterson(without their starting DT). Yet they still find ways to lose.

You know the saying, "Live by the Saints, Die by the Saints". And they went thru a tough loss this week, from what I heard. I missed some good games these past 2 weeks, especially when Favre went nuts with all those TDs last weekend.

Cool. I have a few for the Ravens. Ray Lewis. Todd Heap. Chris McCalister, Derrick Mason.

My favorite positions are RB, LB and WR

Huge fan, love the Lions, it's a shame we've sucked for almost 50 years...

But I love the Lions' throwback jerseys...so there a plus for me...who knows...if they've sucked for a half a century--maybe they'll pull it together the second half. Last season they were undefeated until week 5 or 6 I think. They started out well, then ended out bad again.

Or they can shake some sense into Barry Sanders and get him out of retirement!:D
