The Supervillain Tournament 2008
 

Well, the superhero tourny is nearly over, so I thought now would be as good a time as ever to start this. I've got exactly half a list of supervillains, so, for the next few days I'll be collecting more, so post your favourites. If they're not well known, or I'll probably already have them, post them anyway just incase.

I'll be starting it up in a few days.

I predict The Joker will win.

That's what I think too. Although I'm pretty sure Green Goblin and Lex Luthor will make it far.

I hope not, I hate both of them.

Yeah well thats pretty much a fact, but still, by the time this tournament gets to the finals I think the hype of TDK is going to be over by then.

Ferret I hope you include Doctor Light, Superman Prime, and Sinestro. Seriously you need to include Doctor Light, he's a sick fuck. He beat and raped Elongated Man's wife during Identity Crisis.

Never heard of Doctor Light. I've got sinestro. I'll definetely be putting the other two into it.

Read up on him, he's not a big villain and doesn't show up too often, but he's played big roles in some big stories.

I think I have about 7 batman rogues, and I've included a few of the main guys from the brotherhood. Red Skull I nearly forgot, thanks for reminding me.

Joker or Lex Luthor will most likely dominate. Though Rod makes a good point with the Red Skull.

I have a Joker sig but I don't think he's the best villain ever...



Then again, Batman wasn't who I'd consider the best of all time and he won anyway. Worth a shot FC, but probably predictable results, at least this close to The Dark Knight.

Ther are plenty of great villans, I can see some good match ups afoot, but perhaps it would be best to let people cool their heels a little after these Dark Knight orgasims they have all been having.

The Joker never had bigger ambitions than jerking around in Gotham City, there villans that used to try and take over the world.... How can the Joker compare to someone such as Krang?

Marvel Krang or Ninja Turtles Krang?

The ones taking over the world are doing the things they do for power or revenge. Joker just does it. Completely bat-shit crazy and unpredictable. Never has there been a more perfect foe to match the hero. Plus all he does in Dark Knight is jerk around in Gotham, so why would it effect his chances here? And bonus points for killing Jason Todd.

I think taking over the world is much more formidable than being a relevant foe...
