It just feels good to know you rule something. Canadians wouldn't understand.

And the crown isn't the ruler, it goes on top of the ruler. So yeah.

Yeah, so we have the 2nd best basketball team in the country. I'm heartbroken.

I'll just have to seek solace in the awesome weather and beaches and mountians, the fantastic movie houses, the rockin' music scene, world-class restaurants, my horror-filmmaking friends and the tight, sexy bodies everywhere.

yeah, L.A. really took a painful hit last night;)

Wouldn't say destroyed. It was a comeback, after all.

Celtics are obviously the better team, though. No doubt about that. Four games and the only one they lose, was when Rivers got the stupid idea of guarding Kobe straight up.

i know you love it - and good on you ...you should love where you live,

but i'd never want to live there... not even with that nice weather.

And they only needed 50% of the "superstars" in the NBA to do it. Enjoy your championship Boston fans, it's an old team and if you didn't get it this year I doubt it would happen again. On that note, the damn Pistons CONTINUE to get to the conference finals and blow it so I'm probably just bitter. ;)

PS: LA is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

They play damn good defense regardless, I totally agree though.

Too bad the Spurs' age finally caught up to 'em. Firmly believe they'd have taken out any eastern team.

GorePhobia 06-13-2008 12:04 PM

I think it's Philly's turn within the next year or two....:)

Zero 06-13-2008 01:44 PM

i'm just glad to see kobe bryant getting all pouty and 'i'm still the greatest even though i'm losing' and blaming his teammates - loser!

The Mothman 06-17-2008 08:18 PM

tonight was the most satisfying and glorious game Ive ever watched!

Really? If I bleed green I'd have still been bored. Woulda just cut it off at halftime and started the celebration early. Anyway, congrats to KG.

GorePhobia 06-17-2008 09:42 PM

I just hate to see Boston (as the city) winning so many championships lately. I despise the fact that they keep winning and Philly can't even win ONE!

:(

Roderick Usher 06-17-2008 10:20 PM

I love to see champs behaving like champs, and the Celts certainly did that tonight. I would have loved to see a game 7, but still - an entertaining series.

I wonder how the match-up will play out over the next couple of years, because it could be Lakers/Celtics matching up rather frequently in the forseeable future.

GorePhobia 06-18-2008 01:02 AM

I think the 76ers have a shot over the next few years.

Zero 06-18-2008 03:10 AM

urgeok2 06-18-2008 05:40 AM

Zero 06-18-2008 05:44 AM

Was someone crying? No one likes to lose, but I didn't see anyone, movie star or not, crying over it.

The Celtics bought a championship team and good for them for not blowing it in the end against a younger and admittedly less talented team. Now the Lakers need to go buy a big defender.

But not to smack of sour grapes I say congrats, Celtics. You were clearly the better team.

I look forward to the same match-up next year:D
