Movie Club
 

I was watching an episode of Corner Gas, and got the idea, we should have a movie club. Every week, we pick one movie. The members who own or can rent the movie, watch it at some point in the week, then we exchange our view points and ideas on it.

I figure this could be something to make the place a bit more active.

Selected Movies

All movie suggestions sent in, will be placed in a hat, and drawn randomly. The movie that has the most votes, by posted date, will be the movie of the week. All movie titles will be held for future movie club weeks for voting. If your movie does not make the top list, it will be carried over to the next week. All movies which have been watched and discussed, will be posted on this page.

Rules

There are no actual rules for this, with one exception. Do not use this thread for rambling and nonsense if you are not participating that specific week. Try to keep all Movie Club talk, relevant to the movie at hand, and voting.

Also, do not contact me asking why the movie you suggested is not on here this week.

It should be something not at the cinema as it will be easier for others to acess where ever they are.

I'd say let's pick a movie on either Saturday or Sunday. That way, it gives a full week to go round trip.

Plus, we need to see how many people are going to participate.

And I think I have figured out a way to pick movies.

Fridays, I will post a short list of 3 movies on here. You guys vote on them. The movie that gets the most votes, will be the one we watch that week. Sound good?

Perfect idea, maybe we could even PM you with suggestions once in a while.

I'm in, for the most part. If I can find it online, I will watch it. I'm saving my money for school and stuff.

My funds are limited, but my enthusiasm is not and I have a decent collection. I'll chime in when I can.

All results were random. I put all of the suggestions in a hat and drew them so that it would be fair. If the movie/movies you suggested are not here, they will be in votes at later times. I am keeping them all logged down.

The movie with the most votes at midnight on Saturday, will be crowned. If you do not own the movie, try to rent or purchase it if possible.

Well I am in as long as it is not the new House of Wax (POS). i vote for Funhouse haven't seen it all i think i caught a little on TV once, but I always meant to see it after I read the book from Dean Koontz he based the book on the movie which is the opposite of the norm. And I have seen the other two.

i guess i'll go with funhouse as i don't really like the other two.

I will go with Pitch Black just because it has been awhile since I seen it and I don't own Funhouse nor do I have the money to go rent it at this moment in time.

Hmm, I'll go with Funhouse, I don't think I've seen it, And I'm not watching Pitch Black again.

And as for Donnie Darko, well, I could watch it anytime, but I'd rather see something I havent.

I'll vote for Funhouse because I've watched the other two (love em' both) fairly recently.

Never heard of Fun House. Hope I can find it somewhere.

There's a new edition of the Funhouse (new-ish anyway) so it shouldn't be too hard to find. I think they released it when the remake of TCM came out. the Tobe Hooper connection and whatnot......

Don't feel too bad man. I may not be participating either. The only one of the three movies I pulled, that I own, is Donnie Darko.

If its not too late to vote, i'll go with Pitch Black. I actually like that movie!
