Anyone play TUROK yet?
 

Of course, I'm referring to the version that's sprung up on at least 2 of the current gen consoles...
I've seen some pictures, but no ingame as yet...has anyone purchased it, or played through a demo at all?
Looks pretty nice...but, then turok games have always been pretty hit or miss...

I've triedto rent this a few times but it's never in.I might have to download the demo of Live later.

Played the demo, I wasn't that impressed really. Pretty standard FPS fare IMO.

most reviews say it is bad too much shaky camera

Quite frankly put, I am not interested. Played Turok 2: Seeds of Evil once long time back, and it bored the hell out of me.

I am sure this new one wouldnt be great, either.

The last time I had fun with a Turok game was when you were able to use that weapon that bored through the other player's head in multiplayer.

If I remember correctly there was a skull-fluid draining power weapon too, which made the victim's head explode. Not sure exactly...been awhile since I played it.

Nevermind...just checked it out. Its called the Cerebral Bore, and we both were talking about the same weapon, Des.:)

So they remove that awesome weapon and make a game where you're hunting the guy that trained you... wasn't there already a movie about that? The plot sounds like The Hunted with dinosaurs to me.

This is gonna suck...unless you are in awe of dinosaurs running amuck in your game. But then, Serious Sam 2 was more entertaining in THAT aspect at least.:rolleyes:

I am sticking to playing Crysis and Bioshock till the next good one comes out.

For me it's Bioshock, CoD4, and Orange Box... mmmmmmmmm Orange Box.

Yup, i'm playing it.

The review in the paper described the atmosphere throughout the game to be very tense. that was enough for me.

Sadly enough, the guy making the review obviously doesn't know what tense is...

All in all Turok is just yet another mediocre shoot em up consol game. And the graphic really isn't that WAUW!!!


When it comes to graphics "Assasins creed" is still nr. 1.

I thought that Gears Of War had better graphics than Assassins Creed.

Haven't played Gears, so.... guess i'll have to take your word for it. Not happy about it tho.

Assassins Creed does have good graphics. I just thought Gears Of Wars landscapes had more detail.

Well, the horizon is pretty cool in Turok, with dinosaurs moving around in the distant. But everything else.. meh..

I'm not looking forward to Turok at all. I've never been a fan of that game.

Now Dino Crisis, that's a different story.

Yea, i sure miss the horror elements from Dino crisis.

That was a fun game. Sadly, I don't own a copy of the first one. I only have the second one.

I've only played the first one. Never completed it tho... At least not that i can remember. But i missed some zombies. ;) :D

I have a copy of the first one I bought from Blockbuster when they were selling used games. I must have really enjoyed it and found it hard to find because I NEVER buy used DVDs or games.

Mine had one for sale a looooong time ago, but sadly, I didn't have quite enough to get it.

If you ever use .iso files or play copies I could always loan you the first one... but I could never condone playing a copied game. ;)

Copy is such an ugly word. ;)

I forgot though, my PSX will play "back-up" games.

The first one was really the only fun one in the series. I have Turok Evolution for Gamecube, its really linear.

the new turok looked promising, but i heard it didnt do too well.

The new Turok is horrible I played it for all of about 30 mins then turned it off.
