You do realize what kind of an impact it had on monster movies, correct? Have you seen it? |
I might have been one of them, I would say King Kong is a horror film, I would say Jaws is one as well.
Anyway back to topic: Did no one see Halloween? It may or may not be the best horror of all time but would have thought it would have least made the top 10. |

EVER. HEY!REESES!YEH! |
No Dawn of the Dead(1978) or Night of the Living Dead(1968) ? I would expect at least one of the two to be in there.Given its lofty position and considering Shaun of the Dead is basically a spoof of Romero's work, albeit a loving and well made spoof,I find it odd neither Night or Dawn gets an entry in the Top 10(and I love Shaun).I would Also place the original Halloween in my personal Top 10.
|
I believe it's mostly based on critical positive review percentage. Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Halloween are all in the list, but didn't recieve 100%, so arent on the top 10.

• We use a weighted formula (Bayesian) to account for variation in the number of reviews per movie. The winners are determined by the rankings, designated as the "adjusted score," after applying said formula: (r ÷ (r+m)) × t + (m ÷ (r+m)) × a, with "r" representing the number of rated reviews, "m" the minimum number of reviews needed for a movie to qualify, "t" the Tomatometer score, and "a" the average Tomatometer of all the qualifying movies Equations are evil, evil I tells ya! |
anyone who hasn't got halloween in at least their top 10 isn't worth talking to. Ever. No exceptions.

Not a groundbreaking list but I don't really see it as insulting to the genre. Anybody who uses the words "the average Tomatometer" in an equation shouldn't be trusted anyway.

6. 28 Days Later
5. The Devil's Backbone huh |
Shaun ofthe dead is good, but there is 5000000000% more comedy than horror. It is a great film, one of my favourites, but in a horror list, Evil dead and halloween should be above it. Full stop.
