Feast 2

For those who loved Feast, this is mouthwatering news...:D

After the long and draining release for the Project Greenlight horror film, it's kind of weird how excited I am to see Dimension Films' sequels to Feast in production.

Back-to-back filming will commence this month in Shreveport, Louisiana.

John Gulager will return to the helm from scripts by the awesome Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston, but what will the next film be about? Here is the skinny on Feast 2, along with details on the new lead character for Feast 3.

***CAUTION - MINOR SPOILERS TO FOLLOW***

It is the morning after, and we pick up with the survivors of FEAST's terrifying night before. There are more monsters and they are even angrier/hungrier. The monsters have made it into the small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the surviving locals have to band together to figure out how to survive. Like that is even a real possibility. Will HONEY PIE pay for her desertion? Will TUFFY make it to HEROINE's kid in time? Is that HARLEY MOM's twin sister? So many questions, it will take another sequel to answer them all. But for now, we can only sit back and be terrorized.

The synopsis exclaims that the characters played by Jenny Wade, Krista Allen and Diane Goldner will all be returning, but have yet to confirm if they're being recast or not. We suspect they'll be back...

Spoilers follow about big revelation:

In addition, we've learned that CHUBBY will have a role in FEAST 2 and will become the lead in FEAST 3. The key here is that he is a chubby and loveable loser, who eventually gets his girl, but only when it is clear that he is the LAST man on Earth. We're told he will be funny and they are seeking comedians for this role.

Watch for more news on both films as they come in.

Love me some Jenny Wade!!!!

I'll have to ask her for inside info next time I see her;)

newb 10-02-2007 03:07 PM

As much as I loved the first and this is welcome news....I was kinda hoping to see John Gulager branch out a bit first before taking on a sequel. I watched the Project Greenlight with him and thought he had good vision.

Freak 10-02-2007 03:11 PM

I really enjoyed the first one for the most part.I just hope that they don't make some piece of garbage sequel just to try and make a buck.

illdojo 10-02-2007 03:44 PM

Feast was killer. With Gulager on board . I will definitely check out part 2.
Love me some Krista Allen!!!!! :D
Will it be straight to DVD??

jenna26 10-03-2007 07:19 PM

Well, I really enjoyed Feast, here's hoping the sequels are as entertaining.

PhilnEdee 10-06-2007 04:26 PM

Feast was great...very entertaining...and all shot in one small building.
Here's hoping #2 has some substance and at least pulls of the humor of the first.

Three more cast members are reported to be returning in Dimension Films' Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds, which is now lensing in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Josh Zuckerman (Hot Wheels), Balthazar Getty (Bozo) and Navi Rawat (Heroine) are said to be returning along with Jenny Wade, Krista Allen, Diane Goldner and Clu Gulager in the film that picks up laterally where the last one left off.

"Sloppy Seconds" is the first of two sequels being shot back-to-back.

I forget ...did Henry Rollins' character die in Feast?

What do you bet they call #3 "Third Time's the Charm"

GorePhobia 10-18-2007 03:06 PM

Feast was amazing and I can not wait to see the 2nd and 3rd films. Gonna be one hell of a ride especially if they are released on DVD as NC-17 flicks.

''Saw IV'' Co-writer Marcus Dunstan tells that they start shooting ''Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds'' this week, and ''Feast 3: The Happy Finish'' will be shooting directly after that.

“It begins shooting on Halloween day! Feast 3 begins shooting about a month after that. It is a back-to-back bloodbath in lovely Louisiana. I can’t wait”, says Dunstan, who wrote the ''Feast'' films with co-writer Patrick Melton. “The scripts are really coming along. Once again, a lack of budget has forced us to think beyond the parameters of the story and engineer excitement, tension and character dynamics that a more affluent budget could drown in special effects. Maybe I just hate myself, but I really enjoy being shoved up against the low budget wall and forced to find the Twilight Zone solution to the Star Wars problem.”

”The bold ambition of director John Gulager’s battle plan for these sequels is fantastic. There is no way we are supposed to be able to pull off the multitude of action and horror that the two stories promise, but we are going for it anyway. We are going to reach into the magician’s hat until we pull out all the rabbits we need to.”

Dunstan’s also getting a little ahead of himself – or maybe he’s just being smart, considering the writer’s strike is just around the corner – revealing that he’s already written a draft of ''Feast 4''!!

GorePhobia 11-01-2007 10:00 AM

This is fucking amazing news. I watched Feast again last night and just simply love it. With everyone back on board for the 2nd and 3rd it is going to be amazing.

Kemal 11-07-2007 03:15 PM

I hope they tell us what the hell the monsters are and where they came from.

Janna122003 11-09-2007 10:41 AM

Wow. That's a good news. I enjoy watching Feast and now it has a sequel. I'm so excited to watched it.

ChronoGrl 11-10-2007 08:44 AM

Maybe it'll return to the "military presence" as teased in the previews for the first film, and never returned to again...

Refresh your memory with the trailer on YouTube.

Part of what tickles me with delight about this trailer... Is that it is NOT related to the first movie...

Enter parts II and III I assume...

Oh, my pulp senses are tingling with joy. :D

Thanks for the FYI, V, though I have to admit that I'm abstaining from reading some of those articles, so as not to spoil the surprise for me. :)

Judah Friedlander will return as "The Beer Guy" in Dimension Films' Feast II: Sloppy Seconds.

Judah played the comical relief in the first film and also stars in Ti West's Cabin Fever II: Spring Fever.

Directed once again by John Gulager and re-teaming Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the film also stars Jenny Wade, Krista Allen, Diane Goldner, Clu Gulager, Josh Zuckerman, Balthazar Getty and Navi Rawat.

It is the morning after, and we pick up with the survivors of FEAST's terrifying night before. There are more monsters and they are even angrier/hungrier. I could totally see how someone could hate this film (even though I don't). Whay didn't you like about it, Vodstok?

GorePhobia 06-26-2008 04:42 PM

I loved Feast.

To me it was a refreshing kind of horror flick with the comedy in it as well. I dunno I just like how they executed it.

Col, i thought it was stupid.l not south park "there is subtext" stupid, just stupid. cock jokes, semen jokes, humping jokes. it was a gory joke movie, not horror.

I like horror with sympathetic characters you dont want to die, but there wasnt a single person in the movie i didnt want to see die horribly, but even when they did, it felt like watching someone take out the garbage, it wasnt satisfying, it was necessary.

i tried to like it, i just didnt.

One thing i did like about it was that if it got made, i will surely get published someday.

The Mothman 06-26-2008 05:25 PM

Feast was fun. I anticipate the sequel.

alright. It did have stupid humor, which is out of place for such an intense, gory movie, I agree. Vod, its good to see someone with a fresh outlook, I appreciate it.

It was revealed today that John Gulager's Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds will be arriving at a retailer near you on October 21.

No word on if a Blu-ray will hit the same day.

Sweet! I was under the impression that it wasn't getting released to 2010... Thank GOD I do not have to wait that long... I am ridiculously excited about parts II and III.

Though I'm a little skeptical to the straight-to-DVD release... I hope that it doesn't mean that the second film sacrificed all that was good, fun, bloody, and AWESOME about the first.

I've spoken with Gulager and Dunstan about this and they both told me that they're taking advantage of the fact that direct to DVD films don't need to go through the MPAA movie rating process - these films will be grosser and more obnoxious that the first one.

I just hope these films help make my friend Jenny Wade (Honey Pie) into the movie star she should be. She's an awesome person and is absolutely stunning in person

Just watched Feast II: Sloppy Seconds in NYC this weekend.

Part II was definitely trying to channel pure and utter Schlock only. Very little substance and a whole lot of gore, violence, and bodily fluids.

I was a bit more disgusted than I was entertained (which was obviously the point), though my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed it (he's a fan of Schlock - apparently I am not). Not to mention, while the story "picks up where we left off," it follows a set of characters (some familiar, most new) whom I honestly did not care for for the most part; they were obviously and purposefully expendable, and, well, I couldn't wait until they... ran their course.

If you love a pure schlock-fest, check out Feast II (boyfriend gives it a B+/A-).

If you don't, maybe leave this one alone (I give it a B-).

Regardless, I look forward for the third installment.
