So Say...What If Horror.Com's Forum Ever Shut Down?
 

Would we create a new forum of our own? Would we all head over to Vod's place?


I mean, I'm sure the possibility of this forum ceasing to exist is pretty slim...But, Horror doesn't care about it, so what if he just decided to cut it loose?

OR (an actual REAL possibility)...What if something happened, some kind of lame glitch or a hacker caused the forum to be forever inaccessible to us?...Horror wouldn't fix it...Hell he'd never even KNOW about it...

What would we do?...Where would we go?...Would we even give a shit, or just think of something else to do?...Do enough of us have each other's eMail addresses so that we could even direct each other to a new place?

Just something I was thinking about...What do you guys think?

I like the bunch of people here, but I have no idea what "Vod's place" is. I'm kind of on the perimeter here anyway, so I'd probably be lost in the shuffle.

welcome back, Z. Havent seen you around for awhile.

I have anticipated such an action, BR. Maybe sometime in the future Horror might decide that the forum is expendable...and pull the plug.

I made an alternate forum for all the contributing HDC members for such an emergency...if and when it happens. It lies dormant now, but if anyone is interested to check the place out, I ll be more than happy to provide you the link.

So, just put the link here.

Nah, they're pretty good about running them out over there...Reelhorror has a terrific bunch of people, but they just don't seem to be online as much as our people are...Then again, this forum has slowed down about as much, I think...

My concern with all of us joining a pre-existing forum is, I wonder if they could handle the onslaught...haha...No, seriously...We are quite a unique bunch of people here, kinda set in our ways, and we've become used to the leniency and 'free-for-all' atmosphere that we have here, how would other people take that? Would we clash? Would we cause problems? It's difficult enough for new members here to jump in and meld, how well would we do with an entire forum of 'new' people? I mean, we can't just take over, ya know? We're a pretty aggressive bunch

I really think we'd need some place of our own...I mentioned Vod's because Vod is already used to us :)

It has happened before...and some forums have touchy old members who dont like new ones who have come from another forum...its a sort of "invasion of territory" as they put it...:rolleyes:

It would be much better to have our own forum, if and when this happens. But like Rod said...we are here now, and all is well.:cool:

If Horror.com closed the forum, I'd google 'Horror Forum' and find something else. I have email addresses and/or myspaces for the handful of people I'd keep in touch with.

This is by far the best Horror forum on the web. I've checked. A lot of cool people from all over the globe, and most know what they're talking about. I would miss it. :cool:

I looked at a few others after I joined here, but they just didn't seem this welcoming, I guess I like it here, even if it's not the end of the world, I couldn't be botherd with another initiation like I went through here...

This forum probably wont close though so this is all pretty irrelevant. Every good website has a forum attached to it and while Horror doesn't care about this forums' needs & wants, he does care about his website. I'm not worried that this will ever be an issue.
