well every month I will post a new horror series to talk about and disscuss the future of the series or the past first is halloween

well i can say that halloween is one of my fav horrors and i can tell you im looking forward to the release of halloween on August 31st... it looks kool from the 2 trailers i have seen... its nice to see him back after all this time... but yes i have seen all the halloween films... and looking forward to the new one... everyone said it wont be the same as the old ones... but we never know until we watch it... but i reakon when that gets to the cinemas... all the horror fans are gonna be flooding in... but im still curious... anyone remember halloween 3?(at least i think it was the 3rd one)... what i didnt understand is that it was about halloween yes but wtf mike myers wasnt in it... it was about a halloween mask factory and it sucked there was nothing good about it or slightest but scary... a little kid wouldnt even jump at that one... i just found it confusing pointless and a waste of a movie it should have had mike in it :S

anyway yes cant wait for the new release.

Well, they're called "Halloween", not "Michael Myers" John Carpenter's plan was to bring out a new "Halloween" film every year with a different Halloween-related theme. But people didn't want that to happen. One good Myers film came (Part 4) followed by a slew of horrible (5, 6, 8) ones and an ok one (H20). I can watch any of them because of Donald Pleasence. I'll watch H20 whenever it's on and I'll watch Resurrection if it's on and nothing else is.

Yeah, Rudd doesn't get enough props for his work in Halloween COMM. It was a good performance, and he was actually at least a little smarter than the average horror movie character. They had Michael down and out, and they were all walking away. But then Tommy turns...'should we just leave him and assume he's dead?' NO! So he continues to beat the everloving shit out of him with a steel pipe. THAT'S how you beat up a horror icon. None of that "I'm going to karate you out the window!" shit Bustahugh Rhyzmsszes did in Resurrection. Stab him with needles full of drugs and beat him about the head and neck with a pipe while he's down.

the remake released on october 19th over the uk looks really good and rob zombie will pull off another horror classic

The fact that he's wearing the grey Shatner mask when he's a kid in the previews is troubling. And while Zombie made a very good movie in The Devil's Rejects, I fear he may load Halloween up with unnecessary gore.

He might, but this'll be the first time I get to see Michael Myers on the big screen with no Busta Rhymes, so I'm antsy as hell anyway.

HaHa...I just don't care to watch OTHER people have sex...It's like watching sports...Why would I wanna sit and watch people do something that I can do myself whenever I want?...Horror movies are a nice escape for me, to watch other people do the things that I CAN'T do...Like gutting, decapitating and eating people...Etcetera :)

But what made Halloween great would be hurt by unnecessary gore. It was the hightened suspense, the things you didn't see or could only barely see in the darkness. I do not understand or agree with the "gimme all the gore you got" mentality. If it fits the movie, great, but gore doesn't = great.

i agree with mm - i hink it would have been cool if jc had been able to pull off a halloween franchise that would include diffrent stories not just myers
