It will be ruined, like every other thing the Fresh Prince of Shitty Movies lays his hands on. The line "Ahhh hell NAW!" will somehow find its way into the script.

When I heard they where making I Am Legend I was happy. I have been waiting for a good adaptation of Mathesons great story. All previous incarnations where o.k. at best.
Then I heard Will Smith was staring in it, and my hopes for a good version died. I don't like Will Smith. I'm sure the movie will be bad, but I hope not as bad as I, Robot; another good story ruined by Will Smith and the makes of that movie.

I think this film looks good. Interesting story and I think it will work. I dont mind Will Smith, I think he is quite good. I will go and see this film I am actually looking forward to seeing it.

I like Will Smith okay. But he does seem an odd choice for the role. I will see this, I even look forward to seeing it, but my expectations are pretty low. I don't think they will ever make a film that is anywhere close to as good as Matheson's story.

Great story, i read it a few years ago, and as soon as i read it i wanted to see a movie made. I'm definetly going to see this, can't wait. Will Smith does seem like an odd choice for this role but we'll see what he does with it.

Is it my dislike for previous attempts to adapt 'I Am Legend'?
Is it my hatred of Will Smith?
My dislike for I, Robot?
Or is it all of these thing you'd like me to explain?

You stated that you don't like Will Smith and that you know for a fact this movie will be bad. I was just wondering why. If you watched the trailer you'll see it doesn't look bad at all.

If Will Smith is the last man on the planet, then I'm rooting for the vampires.

so far from what we get to see from the teaser trailer i think i looks good. it is still too early to tell though. i do look forward to seeing more.

Smith has surprised me in the past, but I just wish this had been done by someone with an original style and tone. This has got slick all over it, with the next cute young thing as a love interest and big CGI shots and sometimes I wish they would go for less money and swing something independent. Horror back in the day didn't get big bucks, but they had real fans of it making them.

This seems like a vehicle for someone, and it takes the true excitement out of it for me.

I did watch the trailer and it does look bad to me. I don't think Will Smith is a good actor so I don't think he will do the job the part deserves. He plays the same character in every movie I've seen him in and that's not the character this role should be. Now, granted this isn't all Smith's fault, but that doesn't stop the movies from being bad.
I think the movie will be nothing like it could be. If it's like other Smith movies(and big budget blockbusters in general) it will be all action and snappy one liners, not the pschological thriller it should be.
Yes, I can't tell for sure for the trailer that this is the case, but it still don't look good to me. And based on my feelings of past Smith movies, I'm betting this will be as crappy as those.

Also it's by the guy who directed Constantine and I thought that was the biggest piece of crap in
a long time.

i didn't mind constantine that bad and i actually like will smith so i look forward to this. but i do think it would be cool if this film didnt look so glossy and nice.
