Listen guys - I am drunk, okay? I am drunk because today I had a bad experience.... I realised that alot of people just dont give a damn anymore.

I watched a couple, obviously in lust with each other (sorry, *in love* with each other) walking down a pavement. An old lady was walking the other way. She had to step off the pavement and into the paths of fast cars because those two lusters (er... sorry *lovers*) couldnt find it in their freaking eyes or brains to realise there was another human being on the same path and move aside to let her pass.

Basic human kindness and basic *POLITENESS* seems to be a thing of the past.

I dont base this RANT on the one incident above - I have noticed over the past 20 years just how much we are deteriorating into a society of selfishness, non-compassion, non-empathetic, aggressive, indifferent and very apathetic society.

Isnt the western world supposed to set an example?

Wasnt 9/11 meant to unite people, but instead we throw accusation, mistrust and hate at each other - we trust no one.

Remind me that you guys actually give a fuck??

because honestly its not too big a deal. one person moves out of the way for two people. makes sense.

No, it hit me just how *non-thinking* the human race is becoming. Watchng the scene of two people walking down a path and not moving over a foot for someone else just seemed to confirm in my heart just how *non-thinking* and/or discompassionate people are becoming. The path was big enough for 3 people astride; the couple hogged two thirds of the path and the lady had to step down into the road to pass them.

Come on, its basic politeness to move across to allow others to pass, surely?

Maybe its not a big deal to you but that couple didnt give a fuck - period!

But this rant isnt just about that particular incident - the basic *dont give a fuck* is happening EVERYWHERE!

this reminds me of some robbery footage i seen where this dude beat up and robbed an old lady checking her mail.

Oh, I know what you're saying, and I see this too.

BUT, there's a way you can do something about this!

Go out there and be nice to people! Be friendly. Help people. Especially, help people less fortunate, if you can.

Show the people out there that there ARE people who care. Be one of those people.

Maybe their spoiled ass teenagers that only give 2 shits about themselves.There is still some good people in this world.

I'm trying to believe that *there is still some good people in this world"... I truly am!

I think that's why its unsettling me this way... being *aware* of just how unkind or uncaring alot of people are these days.

I am one of those kind ones but its tiring witnessing the non-thinking that seems to be escalating of late!

No, the world's ecosystem will naturally burn itself up with volcanic eruptions and bush fires BUT the human race is accelarating this burn up with pollution and the pawning of the environment in general at a very fast rate.

We can bury out heads in the sand if we wish to, but the waters will rise and we will drown in the end.

No one likes doom and gloom but we really are buggering it up!

If ppl want to see the effects of global warming in action....hunt down
an article in recent months about the ice that had broken away from the antarctica and floated for 5 days in NZ waters before melting completely.
They were large enough to land helicopters on.
Also the strange weather pattern we have been experiencing..
our summer ..we had nothing but thunderstorms and floods.
Trust me..global warming is at its best in our small country.

I'm part of a couple, but don't get me started on the annoying shit you see outta others. I mean to begin, if your relationship is more'n a year in and you're still not over the whole "allover eachother in public" thing...somebody's got security issues. If it's friends doing this it's like...take it the fuck outta our faces, yeach!
I guess one part of what you're getting at is the hand holding thing. Now, it's just not a viable option in anything other than a relatively low populated area...with people in front and behind you trying to walk it becomes an act of inconsiderate asshole, regardless of intent. They're either stupidly oblivious or rude. Both annoying.
Some couples get this...I know not many, but yknow, here's to avoiding that blanket.

Wow, I'd love to go back in time and see this magical place where everybody was nice to each other. Oh wait... it's never been like that. Either Grog trips Cronk so the Mammoth didn't crush him or Sir Blowsalot slices up Sir Hasnopair because of a maiden. Most people suck, they always have, they always will.

Couples; gangs of kids; people walking their dawg's....... the list goes on!

It doesn't matter,the whole lot of the world only cares if you have money nowadays.That's when they'll move out of the way.
