Can you name this film?

It's driving me nuts. I saw it when I was a kid and it scared the hell out of me.

All I remember is that a couple rent a house and have a strange hobby of going to graveyards and making tracings of headstones. They hang these tracings over their bed. They are then haunted by ghosts.

I know that's not a lot to go on, but the tracings of headstones is unusual.

Thanks

"Let's Scare Jessica To Death"

I forgot to mention... the film is from the late 60's or the 70's

The Gate????

crabapple 04-10-2007 01:47 PM

Yes, um, that was the title up there...the film is called, "Let's Scare Jessica To Death."

Doc Faustus 04-10-2007 01:52 PM

I'd say it's the Gate 3:the Gatening.

The gate 2: Empire Gate

or....

The gate:

3- The empire gates back

4- The Lost gate

5- dawn of the gates

6- attack of the killer gates

7- haute gateshion

8- the texas gatesaw massacre

There actually was a Gate II... "Tresspassers"

I personally like The Gate 12: Closed by Dawn.

Could you be more specific? Try to remember some other detail of the movie. Because that doesnt ring a bell.

Could it be a foreign movie? Mexican or Italian?

I ve seen plenty of movies involving headstones, and some on tracings...(Sleepwalkers comes immediately to mind)...but not the one you are asking for.

crabapple 04-10-2007 08:52 PM

I can't believe you people! I gave the fucking guy the title already.

I dont believe Lets Scare Jessica to Death had any part involving tracings of headstones, crabby. Although thats the best guess so far IMO.

the tracing headstones thing is one of the main things I remember from that movie. That and the creepy vampire/ghoul/witch

crabapple 04-10-2007 09:23 PM

The first scene in the movie has the title character taking tracings of headstones with her boyfriend, dude. The rest of the movie has them and their buddy haunted by ghosts. Come on, man.

X¤MurderDoll¤X 04-10-2007 09:26 PM

yeah it's definitely that movie.

crabapple 04-10-2007 09:32 PM

And also........it's a good movie!

Anyway, the main character's weird obsession with tombstones and the dead seems to be part of what draws the strange ghostly experiences to her. We're not sure if all the spooky stuff is real or imagined.

Oops, sorry then, crabs and MD. I might be confusing it with some other movie. It happens when you watch 9764517369569321025 horror movies ya know.(and also when you are too high on water) :p

:D

Ok, the movie is Lets Scare Jessica to Death.

Thanks Crabapple,

I think that may be it. I don't remember Vampires, but it was around 1979 or 1980 that I saw it. I netflixed it and will have it tomorrow.
