Cannibal Holocaust Cut Version Question

From what I have heard in 2001 this movie was released with all the animal cruelty scenes cut out, is this true? If so where could I get this film?

Dont quote me on this as I cant seem to find proof anywhere, but when it was released I heared that the fairly recent special editions contained both the unrated and cut versions. Like I say, I could be wrong...

Heres the Amazon link:

I believe the 2 disc grindhouse release allows you to play the movie without the animal killings.

Yeah, you can watch it in it's uncensored state, or with the animal kills cut out.

Yea....that scene is a tough one for animal lovers. Get the edition where you have the option of watching it without the animal killings. The_Return posted an amazon link to it in his post.
