Abandoned House Scouting
 

Today Legion Films took a trip to a local site to take some scouting pictures and shoot some film. We hope to use this location in a future project. Footage will be posted later, for now here are the picture from outside of the house. Inside shots and footage will be shot and posted tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm the one who took all of these, by the way. We would have some video too, but the battery ran out pretty quickly.

The pictures don't even do it justice. It was freaky as hell. We would have gone inside, but it was getting really dark and we had no flashlights, plus it was about a mile walk to get home. We were jumpy as hell around there too..in the surrounding woods there were birds freaking out and that surprised us, heh.

Horizon 2 - redux

Ok well that's all the good ones, too bad I had to make them smaller file sizes, now they look like crap. But you should still get the picture. This place is freaky as hell, you can kind of see the time frame we were there, it got dark pretty fast. There was a lot of weird things on the porch that really upped the "What the fuck factor". For example, there were like 4 pairs of shoes, an old rusty fridge (pic added), an old bathrub, like 4 doors leaned against the wall, and weird power tools. I went to the house a couple years back and I remember the inside being even weirder. Until tomorrow these are the only pics we have. We plan to get inside with the camera and film more. Also tomorrow I should have a link if anyone wants to see some footage of the scouting.

Okay these pictures are just CREEPY. I'm not even gonna wonder what's going on with the power tools. Could've been worse. You could've found several corpses.

Do you have a plot for the movie yet?

Actually, HodderFan2004 and I have started working together to make horror short based on this location. Check his posts, I think he will post some of the script he's writting.

The location looks way promising.

Some of the pics are 2 dark 2 see anything but it is probably from resizing, that old frig and bathtub are great props for a horror film. We have a lot of abandoned farm houses in our area, most every single one has all kinds of goofy shit inside and it seems every single one has a refrigerator on the porch. Must be a redneck thing.

First of all, good work with the camera. I'd have to say, watch out about floor support. You don't want to get hurt. That place reminds of this old abandoned school in Thomasville, NC. Legion, you could get some evil outta that place. That's what gave me the idea to warn about rotten floorboards.

Keep us all updated on the film progression. The setting looks pretty fucking eerie! :)

Thanks! We won't have to worry about rotten floor boards, because the entire floor is cement. We actually went inside the house today and took pictures, but they aren't very scary because it was light outside. We also got some pretty nice video, and took a lost dog back to its owner. We'll have the new pics and video up later...though we'll need better hosting for the footage.


Edit: We also found out today (from the owner of the lost dog) that the building was a tenant house for a farm, and was built in the 1940's. There are two bathrooms inside, right next to each other. There are also a bunch of shoes lying around randomly. Another thing we found was a bottle of prescription meds, dating back to 1986. There were still pills inside, too.

Cool location...nice angles from what I could see on the pics... looks like a couple old abandoned houses I've been through in Maryland....I must agree You ALWAYS FIND A FRIDGE AND A BATH TUB IN THE ODDEST DAMN PLACE IN ABANDON HOUSES.:confused:

Yea we should have the new stuff up tomorrow sometime. We took a lot more picture and more footage this time so there was more to edit.

Good luck with it...it looks like you might have an awesome site...now as long as you have a sturdy plot and some descent actors.......keep me posted on how you do ..this has struck some interest with me.....

I must say... that looks like a very promising setting for a horror movie.

That place looks good. Did you think it was good the more that you looked around and stuff?? Or are you looking for more possabilities?

We have this location sealed. I'm working with a writter now, and he's basing his script from floorplans and maps I gave him of this exact location. So it will be here.
