A Creepshow Sequel AND A REMAKE?!
Was I the only one NOT aware of this?
Read the reviews/comments for Creepshow 3...Sounds like it's worse than terrible: http://imdb.com/title/tt0478125/ Re: The Remake: Creepshow Gets Remade "Creepshow," the 1982 horror anthology movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, is getting the remake treatment according to The Hollywood Reporter. Although in the original anthology the stories -- which were written in the old 1950s EC Comics style -- were unconnected, the plan is to structure the new movie a la "Go," where individual stories will have interconnected characters and situations. Warner Brothers Pictures is developing the remake, which will be produced by Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment along with Taka Ichise of OZ LA and Tony Ludwig. Between Vertigo and OZ LA, the two companies produced and executive produced both the original versions and English-language remakes of "The Ring," "The Grudge" and "Dark Water." |
yes I knew...I could have downloaded number 3 two weeks ago...but I didnt cause I knew it would suck...as for the remake: unnecessary

I was up for this gig last year. They have no idea what they want. It'll be a mess.

Was aware of the sequel, but this is the first Ive heared of a remake.
Shit. |
Have heard about both for a while now. Remake of the stories could be good if they're done right, I'll wait to see it before I pass judgement. The remake is far more understandable than the sequel IMO. You can remake a body of work without having been involved with the original but to do a 3rd film without any of the prior films talent just seems wrong. I think Joushuabe (I know I'm spelling it wrong) actually gave some praise to number 3 though...

There's a trailer up for the third one...
should be a link here http://www.creepshow3.com/ Gets me to thinking, I dn't much give a fuck about this third one, but I wouldn't mind grabbing 1&2 for my dvd collection. I know I'll see the third though. Hey, anyone ever see "freakshow"? Was that somehow related, or just a wannabe? |

1989 1995 1999 2007 The 1989 version kinda reminds me of Something Wicked This Way Comes, but it has short stories too The 1999 version is a like Sideshow The 1995 version has Gunnar Hansen in it (also with short stories)...Hmmm *heads to eBay* |

No King?......No Romero?........I think I'll wait for it to hit HBO.
|
Had a peek at it. It does suck, more than II did. Most parts of it (if not all) is anime, from what I ve heard.
I m not too excited about this one. |
Not interested in this at all, doubt I will ever see it. I usually try to keep an open mind, and see the film first, but without Romero and/or King involved, there is just no point.
|
I knew what I was getting into when I rented it this evening but I did not think it would be THAT bad. Well it was. This was god awful. I usually like cheesy horror films for pure laugh factor but it was pretty difficult to find a place to laugh. This was terrible.
