help with name of film
 

Hi all

I am wondering if someone will be able to help me tracking down the name of a film a saw a long time ago.

I must appologise in advance for the extreme vagueness in my details, all i remember is it was a truly awesome movie and i really want to watch it again.

Basically all I can remember about the movie is this;
I saw the movie about 6-7 years ago, and even then it was still a kind of old movie. the movie was full colour. If i had to guess a time frame, maybe id say the late 80's or 90's.

I'm pretty sure it was about warewolfs, (posibly some vampires, but i dont think so), and towards the end of the movie the 'head' warewolf gets killed (well so we are lead to believe). and then right at the end of the movie it zooms out to a cemetary with the head warewolf still alive!! and he is looking over the cemtary in 'warewolf vission' or nightvission kind of camera mode. I think you could also hear the wolf breathing. I suppose they did this to 'leave it open' for a sequal or something.

Anyway, I know that was incredibally vauge but hopefully someone out there knows the movie :)

the wolfen took place in a city ..

they were a kind of 'wolf spirit' that preyed on the homeless..etc

the camera went into 'wolf vision' each time they went in for a kill..

the camera and wolf sounds make me think of wolfen for sure, but it would be pretty hard to mistake a pack of wolves movie for a supernatural movie

Sounds like wofen BS to me.

I've been meaning to check out Wolfen for quite some time but haven't run into it on VHS..... so its good yeh?

Wolfen is not about werewolves...its about a pack of mystical wolves who have some sort of super intelligence and they have a vendetta against some city planning types...sounds weird...it is different, but yes it def. is worth watching...has some good acting in it, good effects, etc... I do not think it goes with the description of what "pocketjammer" says in his query...there is not a head werewolf or any werewolves for that matter, or a cemetary, etc... at the end of this one.

its not a bad little film ..

has that 70's gritty feel (1981) .. and you cant go wrong with albert finney

especially not in Breakfast of Champions

Definitely worth a watch. The book was also not a bad read.

Then my second suggestion would be "The howling".... Not that i can remember a lot about it.... :rolleyes:

Well Wolfen is proving a little difficult to obtain a copy of. Neither local video stores or the DVD shops have it.
Over the christmas holidays I will be visiting the town were i originally hired this 'unknown' movie from some years ago, so will check it out :)
