Saw 4...and 5
 

Well, the SAW franchise keeps making more and more money each time, so this one's a lock.

Tobin Bell just signed on to topline SAW 4 & SAW 5.

Five movies...regardless of what you think of the films, that puts the Jigsaw character up there with Freddy, Jason and Michael Myers as a true franchisable (is that a word?) horror icon.

and will no doubt come to the same end as the other franchises .. insufferable mediocrity..

hey, they pulled it off in record time, too. the first one just came out in 2004, so it looks like 2008 will be the "last"... they beat all the competition by a long shot as far as pumping out pictures in short order.

Yea so far I am really happy with the first two and i'm looking forward to seeing the 3rd here really soon, I tried staying out of all of the saw 3 threads so I don't get it spoiled. But 4&5 was never a suprise to me, I'm sure if they keep bringing fresh ideas this will be one of the most kick ass franchise, i'm glad to finally see another one, that's actually decent.

and no he didnt die in TWO...tut..olo! im a bad speller too.....are they prequels since the whole slashed throat in 3??? and i love it how theres a jigsaw action figure with that creepy little thing on the trice too.....but he isnt a killer.....people kill themselves (or amanda.....gotta love that woman!)

I really dont see how they COULD make a 4 or 5... I think I am almost frightened now lol it would be sad if they screw it up after making three xcellent ones. But I am of course curious!

Seems like they'll make sequels as long as they can keep making money off it, never mind the quality of the later films.

Hey Roderick Usher did Tobin Bell really sign for this movie? Quite frankly I think the movie will blow without Tobin Bell. That is like having Halloween without Michael Myers aka Halloween 3 which sucked. The only thing im looking forward to is seeing Jessica Alba in the movie. They should end the Saw series while it is still good. I want to see Saw go down as the best Trio of all time. Which as of now I beleive it very well is.

There's no way they'll stop making SAW movies now, each one has made more money that the previous installment. The rule here is only give up on a franchise when the profits start going backward.

So tell me then, how do you think they will continue on with it? I mean [spoilers here] both the main people are out of the running. So now what?

I still haven't seen 3, so I couldn't tell you. If I hear about a script I'll try to get my hands on it.

I dont think he CAN come back.... he did get his throat slit and he was like dying of cancer anyways. The saw movies dont really seem like the ghostly type of movies

maybe through the magic of video tape?

Prequel?

Hmmm that is a thought... a prequel but theyd have to stretch it pretty thin... although in three they had a breif flashback with him in it. In two they covered WHY he turned out that way..... I guess they could I bet your right lol but im not seeing it as being good :p

I think 4 will leave Jigsaw dead but he will have a trap set, obviously the little girl needs to be found right?

What about the doc from #1. The photographer and Zep's bodies were in the room after dying (or being killed) in #1 but no dead doc. Couple that with the whole eye surgery scene in #2 with the operator limping along... who knows could have been Jigsaw but I think the doc is still out there.

Don't forget about the detective in two. Jigsaw says that Amanda left him for dead and that he detests murderers... also that he "cleaned up her mess". Did he save the detective? Who knows. I think there's a lot left in the series for a fourth but it could be VERY bad and then I simply won't see 5.

I'm typing this all very fast, have to go, sorry if some of it is simply a mess of words and thoughts.

and saw IV is in the scripting/treatment phase according the imdb

they need to be...too much is unanswered as long as they dont piss it up.....they did an excellent job with the 3rd part.....i didnt feel like there was much of a pay off the second time round at the end....but i liked it like that

Part IV wont be as good after the deaths of Jigsaw and Amanda. Saw III was the perfect way to end a series, it's a shame that they have to fuck with it.

OLO! cant wait....and love hills have eyes remake (it is relevant cause of the hoo har under roshiqs name.....stottlemeir got killed noooooooooo) and im not so sure that amandas dead....other killers/murders ' i despise murderers' olo! look like they're dead at the end of the film until the next one........

Anyway, I think Amanda and Jigsaw are dead but as I stated before... I think Jigsaw has left a legacy, something behind in more than one person.
