For the love of all that's holy

People keep ragging me (har!) about my favorite pair of jeans. They're falling apart and I love them. Didn't do it on purpose, like my little sister likes to do. They're just a nice comfy pair of worn out jeans with about 14 holes in them. Big ones.

Do you guys love your worn out clothes, or are you a new stylin' kind of person?

I have some clothes like this too, I have a pair of jeans that are really rugged, i love em. You just cant buy jeans that feel that good!:p

I have a pair of sports shoes that although the stitching is coming apart I'm loathed to toss them out, even though I've recently bought a new pair. The old pair are too comfy.

My black stretch jeans are so haggered they don't stretch no more the crotch has been sown up twice, but at the moment I have to wear black underwear with them, I had to put a patch on the inside of the knee so the leg didn't fall off. I have been going to get a new pair but where I buy them never has my size when I go in there.

I always where my clothes till they fall apart though, One white dress shirt I had was held together at the back with 4 safty pins and the arms had fallen of at the elbows before I got rid of it.

Dude u should see the state of my misfits t-shirt, huhahaha

My first girlfriend through out my Dinosaur jr (green mind) t-shirt, It was very holy but one of my faves, it took her two weeks to admit it, that pissed me off. I've never found another one.

I do that with shoes. I absolutely HATE shoe shopping so I generally end up wearing a pair until the soles are basically worn through.

There's nothing funner than relaxing in your favorite ratty old shirt, with people who really don't care what you're wearing, drinking whatever and watching something very few other people would want to watch.

Well, there's a few things that are funner but we won't get into that.

You guys are sooo uncool! No fashion sense whatsoever!!! People like you shouldn't be allowed to breed.

*Now where are my Dolce and Gabana jeans with holes in the knees? I need them to go with my Vershache vintage t-shirt and Prada motorcycle boots.*

:D

everyone love comfy clothes, but every so often you do need to purge the wardrobe.

When my wife has really had it with one of my ratty, threadbare t-shirts or jeans or underwear we have a ritual "sacrifice" wherin I wear the item one last time. At the end of the day, she quite literally rips the item off of me.

It really is quite fun and cleansing to shred something that you hold dear. And it usually leads to really fun sex too.:)

I have an Elements sweater that I've worn to t-shirt thickness, and I love it as much as my new clothes.....I've even had to cut the cuffs off of because of shredding, but I still wear it. I love my raggedy clothes.

I think I go clothes shopping less than once a year so everything I own is kinda ratty...but soooo cozy:)

tarcher80 10-10-2006 01:48 PM

i'm more stylish, but i have a favorite pair of jeans that have a few holes in them. bottom line, keep them! who cares what the hell people think-unless you're wearing them out to a nice dinner w/ the lady friend, then you have issues.

I like it when long sleeve t-shirts get so many holes around the cuffs that you can fit each finger through one

Reminds me I once had a pair of pants that had about 6 buttons instead of a zip, as they fell off I replaced them with safety pins, till one day there was a 6 safety pin gauntlet whenever I went to take a piss, which was harsh when I was out drunk at a gig, I finally gave up on them when the buttons that did them up went as well.

Maybe I should have learnt to sow, ?
