That's a cool signed magazine.
As a total coincidence I have an issue #100 of FAMOUS MONSTERS which I had signed by these people at the Science Fiction, Horror and Fantasy Convention in I believe 1980: Carolyn Jones Glenn Campbell (the visual effects guy, not the singer!) Ed Begley, Jr. Michael York Herbert Jefferson, Jr. Jacquelin Hyde Gloria LeRoy Susan Cabot (the Wasp Woman!) Scatman Crothers Ernest Lazlo Terri Hardin Walt Daugherty and Forry Ackerman! Here's a scan of the back cover, where most of these people signed it............. |

i got an amazing deal on fangoria issue #1 only 14.99.
Man......I remember what that issue #1 came out! That was a good time, and Fangoria was different when it started...more fantasy-oriented....a good good time. Late 70's wasn't it? 79?
yep, 79.
Congrats.
What're ya gonna do with em'? Put em' in cases in your room or something? |

Check this out here...this is my version of what you did, staying up all night, planning and scheming to make sure you got that signed magazine. Moo ha ha. I saw this was up on Ebay and schemed for days, sat, waited, watched, until the auction was wrapping up and I had it out with the other bidders. It ended up being kind of pricey, but...well, it was important to me! I had one of these back in the day, you see, and it remembered me of those fun Halloweens of the 70's.
that was pricy? why? is it a rare product from the 70's?
Oh yeah. Depending on how much everyone wants to fight over it, it can be pricy, or it can sell for cheap on a slow day. This one cost me a cool fifty! It's from 1979.
cool. you keep it on display or anything?
Yes, in a little plastic box on the shelf. It's sitting next to a similar product from that company, called "Scar Stuf" (a kind of scar wax). I totally understand this sort of lust for horror products. Always have!
ya. the strange thing about the #1 issue is im the only one who bidded on it..
