newbie skipping newbie thread
 

hi, I'm Drake, new here, felt like skipping the newbie thread and getting into it all....
couple weeks back saw cannibal holicaust for the first time, was disturbed greatly by it, interested in snakes on a plane, got my whole office counting down to opening night, though I think they just think it's funny, huge Drac fan, flix, comics, anything, love all horror, and... oh yeah I'm also what the kids call a "gangsta" rapper, reply, I'm looking to make some friends....

Umm...I'm pretty sure this qualifies AS a 'newbie thread'...

Well, skipping the newbie section is a good start. You've already taken a step in the right direction.

Cannibal Holocaust tends to have that effect on people. Some of those scenes are very difficult to stomach. (Animals slaughter, brutal rapes & 1 particular penis hacking all spring to mind...)

Snakes on a Plane looks rad. I can't wait.

thanx a lot, homie. I know, I still don't really have C.H. all figured out in my head, but I'll skip the philisophical debate that it conjures(maybe that's the point)?, and "snakes" to me looks like...
well, honestly, like nothing ever before! maybe the net really is good for something after all!

Cannibal Holocaust was a pretty fucked up movie, but the best of the whole cannibal genre..."Snakes On A Plane" does indeed look to be pretty cool, haven't seen it yet though..

I have something very strange to say. I like zombie movies, I enjoy a little graphic violence for the most part (as long as it's a rubber effect). But this cannibals-in-the-woods puke-a-rama horror stuff, I never could, uh, stomach it. Just makes me sick to even think about it. I mean, I've watched a few of these, and enjoyed them for what they were, but I've never gone out of my way to, you know, have that stuff on my shelf. "Ah! What shall I watch today? I think I'll watch MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY, let me grab my Deluxe Edition DVD of that..." NO, for me, this is not really a good time. I may visit someone and will watch one of these if someone "insists" on watching it, but it's, you know, not really my bag.

Snakes I can get into because they're creatures, and they have fangs which makes them inherently evil. The upcoming Snakes/Plane/Snakes on a Plane movie will probably be a lot of fun, I am guessing. I am a biiiiiiiiig fan of the first ANACONDA movie, which, I feel, is not a bad movie at all. It is perfectly aware that it is a piece of trash.

I have, I think I mentioned it awhile back.

I was at a party and there was 4 or 5 of us standing around betting each other goofy shit like getting a girl's number or whatever we could think of. My gf of all people bet me however much it was that I wouldn't strip and dive in the pool from off the balcony(easier than it might sound).

Did you remember to shout, "I AM A GOLDEN GOD!!!"?;)

Actually, I remember yelling out something a little more appropriate for the Halloween party. Even over the net I can't believe I'm admitting this, I yelled ''Hail to the king baby''.:o

Well....now that you mention it...I have gone skinny dipping after many beers. I was thinking more along these lines.
