Which One(s)

thinking about placing an order for the following films:

Donnie Darko
A Knight's Tale
Neverending Story
Rocky Horror Picture Show

my total for all four would me $40 so i'm needing some help narrowing the list. i leaning toward #1 & #4 but would still love to get a second opinion or if you could suggest something worthwhile that would also be much appreciated. :D

Dante'sInferno 07-19-2006 10:50 AM

Donnie Darko!

tachii 07-19-2006 10:55 AM

awww! so far Rocky has the lead

Miss Olivia 07-19-2006 10:56 AM

I never get tired of watching Rocky Horror, and I love Neverending Story...

tachii 07-19-2006 10:59 AM

yeah i like faery stuff
rocky would replace a dead VHS
having trouble choosing so...just wait and see

Zero 07-19-2006 11:00 AM

i think donnie darko would hold up to multiple viewings (i love rocky, but its not something i would watch regularly)

tachii 07-19-2006 11:06 AM

my collection is fairly large although a mere fledgling in comparison to most of you(s) it usually takes a while before i find a particular movie i want to watch so i just wind up setteling on something i find easily; still no reason not to own stuff i love (was that a double negative?)

monalisa 07-19-2006 12:03 PM

Definitely Donnie Darko and Rocky Horror. I loved A Knight's Tale too. And of course, if you don't have a copy of The Devil's Rejects, I think you should have one. :)

Yellow Jacket 07-19-2006 12:38 PM

The Rocky Horror Picture Show, without a doubt!

crabapple 07-19-2006 12:52 PM

Buy VHS copies of all of them for under 20.00 (including postage!) on half.com

Donnie Darko and Rocky Horror.

Some really good recent films- The Matador, Running Scared, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang(This one seems to be hit or miss, everyone I know either really likes it or just dismisses it.)

horrorobsessed 07-19-2006 06:17 PM

definitely the rocky horror picture show, it's one of my all-time favorite movies. i actually saw a marching show last year where they played time warp. it was awesome.

bwind22 07-19-2006 06:53 PM

Donnie Darko.

ManchestrMorgue 07-20-2006 01:01 AM

Rocky Horror was one of the first movies I ever got on VHS (along with Karloff's Frankensein) in the early 80's. Still love it. Sure, the story is crap, but it looks great and the songs are addictive :D

The narration was really the only thing that bothered me. Too schizophrenic...

Is it a coincidence that I love all three of those movies and have been recommending them to everybody I know (especially The Matador)?

I never get how stuff like that goes under the radar while shit like House of the Dead and...well, anything Uwe Boll does and crappy movies of that sort get wide release/major promotion.

The Flayed One 07-22-2006 05:01 AM

If you can only get one, Neverending Story & Rocky Horror definately have the most replay value.

However, Neverending Story has the Gmork. Since he scares the holy fucking beejezus out of me, NS wins.

I'm going with Flayed on this one. Def. NS. Mostly because Gmork scared the shit out of me when I was little and was the only thing that ever did.

tachii 07-22-2006 03:47 PM

hmmm, i forgot all about that guy

tachii 07-24-2006 01:15 PM

thanks for the help

ok so after taking the time to shop around i wound up taking the beyond for 4.99 and the neverending story for 7.99 for a grand total of 18.34 (after tax and shipping)

i'd like to thank everyone who took the time to offer opinions and suggestions, and i probaply will wind up taking the higher polled films at another price friendly site as well.

Agreed.

Haven't seen The Matador or Running Scared yet (I will) but I really loved Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

oh and <3 The Beyond

1beastieibe 07-24-2006 05:29 PM

The Neverending Story is by far the Best movie ever made! Well at least to me it is.

On a side note I just saw Running Scared, and I loved it:D
