Favorite COOL SUMMER DRINKS
List your favorite cold drinks here and make everyone wish they had them!
Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome here. But they have to be COLD! No discussion of hot drinks is allowed n this thread! Me will start off. I start with... Fruity fruit punch. The red kind! Extra cold with ice in it. In a frosty plastic tumbler so the ice makes that cool clunky sound. Mmmmmmm! No, I don't have any :( |

Sweet iced tea with a splash of cranberry and a teeny(or not so teeny) shot of mint shnapps with a slice of lemon. I make it every time we have a barbeque.

See? This thread is awesome already. No fighting, no silly bickering. No insults or conflict of any kind. I don't approve of Odwalla though :( something about their labels upsets me :( but you won't mention that brand on this threaad I am sure :)

I drink ice cold Natural Light Beer, and if I don't have any I drink what my buddies drinking. Although, I have my favorite, a beers a beer.

Ice cold Coke on a hot day. I mean REALLY cold. Got to be cold. Basic. It is pleasure. Mmm I like a kind of a spicy stingy soda. I like a strong spicy ginger ale too, nothing like that.

Ice Tea, which as the advert on TV goes is suprisingly nice.
However, I discovered 0.1% of 'tea' in the ingredients listed on the label. It's also amusing how companies still think that calling water 'aqua' in products somehow softens the blow of discovering your expensive favourite drink/hair product/lubricant is primarily just that. |

The Zombie:
Ingredients: 1 oz light rum 1 oz golden rum 1 oz dark rum 1 oz apricot brandy 1 oz pineapple juice 1 oz papaya juice Dash of Grenadine or other syrup 1/2 oz 151-proof rum Shake all ingredients except the 151-proof rum in a shaker with ice. Strain into a collins or hurricane glass filled with ice cubes. Float the 151-proof rum on top. Garnish with pineapple and cherry. |

Yeah...you know, I passed by some liquor stores today, and man, people were walking out of these places with big suitcases full of beer. OMG! It almost made me want to get some beers, and I'm not really a beer fan. (I like nonalcoholic brews! I like the taste of them!)

I had my one nonalcoholic brew just now while watching the fireworks and I gotta say, I almost can't tell the difference between a good non-alky and a real beer. Even the non-alkies have a little alcohol in them, just a hint, so it's not entirely un-like the real thing. Really cold, an O'Doul's or however you spell it is very tasty indeed!
