So...tired...
What do you guys do when you cant sleep?
I flicked chanels for awhile, watched a bit of Frenzy, wandered around my house, had a glass of coke [caffine usually has a kind of reverse effect on me], laid down for awhile, now Im on here. Help! |
i usually take tylenol pm. but if not lay in bed and close your eyes and take slow deep breaths. make sure the room is completely dark.

Watch movies,even though i NERVER sleep.Yeah but evil dead puts me right to sleep.

Throw in a movie that you have no interest in watching. That always puts me to sleep.

Try reading a book in bed, like with talking animals in it, say, "Wind in the Willows" or one of the Pooh books. You'll be out like a light in 10-15 minutes. Works for me every time.

Do the rounds, flip out on the couch, put in "The Remains of the Day" into the player, and find yourself dozing off in 10 minutes flat.
I usually come on, post some on HDC, go play an online game like poker or chisi...or if I m off, I usually pop in a movie, flip the channels to something interesting...but when I used to have exams I studied, sometimes all through the night, with plenty of coffee. For a Calculus major, I did good if I got even 2 hrs sleep per day. But now, after getting into a hyper-active profession, sometimes sleep deprivement becomes necessary, and worthy. |

Camomile tea is meant to do the job, I find any kinda tea relaxing...mint is great too, although it does have a slightly invigorating effect.
The bath idea is ok, but I'd add essence of sandalwood. Those two, and a fat toke on a fatter joint should about have you covered. Glad to provide a responsible solution for you.;) |

I finally managed to get to sleep around 3:30, and I slept until 9. So I got a pretty good nights sleep eventually.

There is always the old standby, warm milk--usually helps a person get to sleep. If that sounds a little icky, add some malt-flavored Ovaltine to that, kinda flavor it up a little bit. Also, listen to some violent rap music. No wait. That's for waking up. Scratch that last bit.
