Have messege boards replaced chat rooms?


Remember back in the day (aol 2.5),
chat rooms were the best.



Why doesnt HDC have a chat room?

Most of us are posting in realtime (responding 2 min at a time after a topic was posted)..a chat room could be entertaining.

I don't feel as much of a loser in a forum... chat rooms really made me feel like a loser. Dunno why. Maybe cuz I can walk away from a forum without having to say goodbye.

is that a promise???

i used to do chat rooms all the time - had one i went to practically everyday at the same time and it was great. . . but then people started dropping out and all the new people just wanted to have cybersex or type endless lines of obscenities. . . so i missed the early days of chat rooms, but can't get into them now. HDC is the only on-line forum i have any association with. . .and that suits me fine!!

I like being able to respond to something one person has said instead of trying to keep up with typing as fast as another person to ask about something they said when there are 15 people in a chat room.

Yeah, I think the golden-age of chat rooms are over. When I was in high school, there were one or two I visited frequently. They had a nice environment, and people you got to know well. Like zero said, though, nowadays most of what you get is bettsecks lol??!!!1 and 'blonde bi 5'7 big boobs any guys wanna chat roffles!"

It's a shame, really, but it's easier to control message boards and weed out the ass heads.

so how long until someone refers to HPW?

Not a fan of chatrooms...to fast for me. I prefer forums/message boards because you can take your own sweet time.

Chatrooms are good in a way. But yeah the cybering gets old. And I can see most of us having nothing to say in the forums. At least we may get all our anger out in a chatroom haha.
