You guys know what? Tournaments are really starting to bug me. I mean really, when there's 1-2, even a couple more going, it's fine...but god! Dont you think it's getting out of hand? Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, coming up with really contrived ideas for tournaments. Not to name any in particular, but just look at the first page here. There are some genuinely bad ideas on there. The only tournaments that I plan to follow are YJ's Horror Tournament, and The STE's Villain Tournament. These are well made, well organised threads, unlike most of the others.

And by the way, there is no chance that Im starting a new one for awhile, that's a given.

I agree with you all the way Return! Way too damn many going on right now, and I'm gettign sick of it. I vote in them every now and then, but there stil is too many. Give it a rest guys!

BTW, thanks for the comment on my tournament Return! Couldn't have done it without you!

Oh, I forgot Gore's tournament. While not as original, it it still well-done, and I vote with some regularity. Plus, we cant forget that it was he that started this new wave of tournaments:)

And I've been putting the blame on me this whole time! Now knowing it is Gore's fault, I can release a sigh of relief! :p Anyway, Gore's is one of the better tournaments (let alone he's used to doing tournaments).

I agree on the general subject matter here.
CLONE tournaments that only mildly differ from the thousands we've seen before are annoying, as are the ones that are not very well organised...

As I recall, Gore started his anual Tag-Team Tournament, then I started my All-Around shortly after. They've been slowly popping up ever since, but this recent explosion is pretty insane.

Hopefully it'll stop! All these tournaments are starting to give me a headache.

I dont really mind clone tournaments, so long as they havent been done in awhile. For example, YJ isnt the first person to do a Horror tournament, that goes without saying. Im sure you recall Jay's tournament from along while back. However, that was interupted for reasons that need not be brought up, and was never finished. On top of that, even if it had been completed, that was almost 2 years ago, if I recall correctly. Most of the current posters werent here back then, missing out on a great tournament idea. I do see what you mean though, and in most cases, I agree 100%.

As I mentioned before...what about all the "games"? Everyone's getting a little carried away. Shouldn't they be in the forum all the other games are in? It's hard to find a damn conversation around here anymore.

I was going to do a 'Pick your favourite Tournament' Tournament but decided to leave it to the experts.

The_Ste would probably win it, easily followed by The_Return's. It'd be a tough battle though. Definitely would go back and forth.

I was thinking of letting mine die either way. They weren't working like I figured they would, but it just depends on if people still bother to vote in them. The thing I'M getting extremely sick of is the amount of games (aggreeing with marroe) on the forum. There are people that make new games everyday, and sometimes more than that. It's like, the first idea that came to their head too. Pretty soon we'll have stuff like the smiley face battle game or something :) beats :rolleyes: I win! But, i'm pissed off by a lot of things, a lot of you have found out from pm's and stuff though...

I hope people don't think I started this fiasco. Digital_Murders aka Evisceration aka Carpe_Noctem was the founder of the tournaments way back two years ago. He had the Horror Icon Tournament which is the one I am doing the sequal to. I also did the Tag Tournament two years ago. Back then there were maybe 2-4 tournaments and they were all great. I think all these ones that are popping up are annoying. Mine is original considering there have only been two in the history of HDC. I like Return's because he puts it together well and makes it fun with suprises and such. Sam's is always great because he always thinks of good tournament's. I like the Idea of Villians battling eachother.

PS - I have only had 3 tournament's in my 2 years being here. This new one and my 2 tag tournament's. There are some people that just randomly make up lots of them.

Yeah I forgot about that one, and yes it was amazing. I was just talking about like lately with the actual people fighting eachother and stuff. But that tournament was amazing.

He had decided that there was too much petulance and puerility here at Horror.Com...And to be fair...It was pretty shitty here then...It gets downright stupid when no one can make a post without someone starting a name-calling match, that escalates into a war...People come here to escape the bullshit and stress of everyday life, not to be hit with more of it...It makes it uncomfortable and intolerable...Just too pointless...

The ones who were always causing the shit, really didn't even have anything positive to contribute when they WEREN'T irritating the fuck out of everybody...I could never figure out why they even joined our forum, except to fight and bitch, because they didn't even seem to be INTERESTED in anything related to 'horror':confused:

And we DEFINITELY had 'sides' then...Everyone fought with everyone else...The forum was always split up, sometimes four different ways...Lines were always being drawn and redrawn...It became quite tiresome...It shouldn't be that way...We're all here for the same reason (well, MOST of us :p )

I never blamed you for the tournaments, simply for this new wave:p. When you started the latest incarnation of the Tag Tournament, we hadnt see a tournament around here in quite awhile. Much like Scream ressurected slashers, you ressurected tournaments. Myself ana Sam didnt exactly help the current situation by starting our own tournaments, opening the floodgates for what I like to call "The New Wave" of tournaments.

Rayne - I definatly remember Kpro's poster tournament! As I recall, he never finished it though...It was a great idea!
