Which Horror Movie Have you watched the Most Times?

I make a point of watching the exorcist every Halloween and have done so for last 12 years. I am thinking I have watched it around the 25 times mark...hmmm - maybe I should get out more!

newb 02-15-2006 08:11 AM

hmmmm....probabaly "The Thing"

newb 02-15-2006 08:12 AM

or maybe Reanimator

PeaSoupintheye 02-15-2006 08:12 AM

I love the thing too - in-fact I might just watch that tonight! re-animator...great choice. Just purchased the double disc edition and I got it signed too! Not watched the 'extra's ' yet but wow - what a film!

urgeok 02-15-2006 08:21 AM

evil dead/dawn of the dead/day of the dead

probably one of those ..

gnarly666 02-15-2006 09:03 AM

I have watched Army of Darkness and Evil Dead way over 50 times. I think i watch each of those at lest five times a year.

The Flayed One 02-15-2006 09:35 AM

I used to watch Exorcist III at least once a month. Now I only watch it about twice a year, but I bet I've seen it over 40 times. After that, either Ginger Snaps or DeadAlive, which weigh in at between 10-15 times each.

noctuary 02-15-2006 09:48 AM

Evil Dead. I've watched this one probably at least twenty times.

slasherman 02-15-2006 09:48 AM

Halloween or The Shining

alkytrio666 02-15-2006 09:48 AM

Probably Evil Dead 2. I like The Evil Dead a little more, but Evil Dead 2 can fit any mood.

ShankS 02-15-2006 09:57 AM

couldn't list a single film, but films from Carpenter to Romero and Rami will be at the top.

jenna26 02-15-2006 10:17 AM

Probably a tie between these: Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original), and Jaws. These are the one I can actually recite dialogue from....LOL...;)

Agreed, I watch that movie at least 6 or 7 times a year. My roommate just got into it too, so I watch it a lot more now.

doctor satan 02-15-2006 10:53 AM

day of the dead or Fulcis Zombi

KF100 02-15-2006 10:58 AM

I've seen a nightmare on elm street around 10 times i think.

InkMonster 02-15-2006 11:04 AM

Evil Dead-I've lost count!
House of 1000 Corpses-At least 20 times!
Original Dawn of the Dead-At least 15 times!
The Devil's Rejects-10 times so far!

The_Return 02-15-2006 01:29 PM

Hmmm...

Either Dracula [1931] or the remake of House on Haunted Hill. The only movies that I recall watching more than once in a single day:D. Id say around 20 times each, give or take a couple.

novakru 02-15-2006 01:34 PM

Return of the Living Dead
The Freddy movies-maybe New Nightmare more than the others
The Hunger

AUSTIN316426808 02-15-2006 01:55 PM

American Psycho/Shaun of the Dead/Halloween/Evil Dead 1&2

It's definately one of those.

Yellow Jacket 02-15-2006 02:02 PM

Hmmm... I don't think I've watched just one of my horror movies a lot. I've watched my favorites at least 5 times (and out of 141 horror movies in my collection, most of them I love). Though, the first time I seen Final Destination 2, when I ordered it off of On_Demand, I watched it 4 times in a row (the only time I've watched one movie so many times in a row).

Tat2 02-15-2006 02:28 PM

The Exorcist - around 30-40 times
Dawn of the Dead (original) 20-30 times
The Thing - around 20 times

And as far as the Classic Universal B&W's go, such as;
The Wolfman
Frankenstein meets the Wolfman
Frankenstein
The Mummy
Creature from the Black Lagoon
........I'd use to much bandwidth with the number to type it!:D

Posher778 02-15-2006 03:20 PM

scream. everyone has heard this crap from me before, but it's just fun to watch. i watch it when i run on the treadmill and stuff. (other movies too that's just a top)

Darklord666 02-15-2006 07:55 PM

Wow I havent even watched most of those films. I have probably watched House Of 1000 corpses, Devils Rejects, Ichi The Killer, and pitch black the most.

Angelakillsluts 02-15-2006 10:21 PM

...

The Evil Dead

PeaSoupintheye 02-16-2006 12:58 AM

hehehe - There's a pattern emerging here ranging between TCM, The Thing, The Exorcist and The Evil Dead's for the most of us. All classics too!

urgeok 02-16-2006 03:19 AM

Evil Dead is a clear winner ...

i'm not suprised ... when it came out it was the biggest thing that ever happened in horror since the Excorcist..

it was the movie you watched after the bars closed .. the movie you showed your friends (to try to shock them into a coma)

it's still as good now as it was when it was released ..

(and it gets re-released every 10 days with new packaging so it's the most collectable as well)

scouse mac 02-16-2006 03:47 AM

Mine are one of Evil Dead 2, Frailty or Kolobos

(some will say Frailty is more psychological than straight out horror but its still counts in my book)

AUSTIN316426808 02-16-2006 03:54 AM

Psychological is a sub genre of horror.

I know but I've argued over this before now with some (no-one here) who said Frailty isn't strictly horror. Its all down to personal interpretation but its still a great film.

urgeok 02-16-2006 05:34 AM

like i said before ..

lets just consider these films 'exploitation' films ...or 'genre' films.

no need to get nitpicky on little details ..

PeaSoupintheye 02-16-2006 08:07 AM

I absolutely love The Frailty - what a film! 10/10 in my book.

PeaSoupintheye 02-16-2006 08:12 AM

Ooh - just noticed you mentioned Kolobos which brings me to a question - are there 2 films with such a title? The reason I ask is that years agoI bought a title Kolobos and unfortunately on getting it home realised my DVD player wouldn't accept it as it is a region 1. I then sold it and a couple of years later I was reading a Fangoria article about the film 'Kolobos' and it seemed to be talking about a totally different movie!

The film I originally purchased was described as the following:

In the thriller, KOLOBOS, six young people take part in a social study set up to look at the nature of human interaction and relationships. The participants have the use of a secluded luxury home and all that it offers, making for what would appear to be a pleasant weekend. However, things become less enjoyable when the organiser of the project is found dead, and a faceless killer begins making the rounds. Now everyone is trapped in the house and struggling to escape--before it's too late.

The Mothman 02-16-2006 08:13 AM

Dead Alive and Evil Dead. seen them countless amount of times.

mothermold 02-16-2006 09:18 AM

probably the thing(82) or frankenstein meets the monster from hell

Firemedic 02-16-2006 05:16 PM

I remember during one Summer school break in high school, I watched Friday the 13th Part 5, everyday for 2 months. I loved the part were Jason takes that belt and twists it around some guys head on a tree, thus squeezing his eyeball into his brain. Ahh the classics.
