All Souls Day

How is this film? it looks pretty recent, but yet i havnt heard of it until recently. i looks ok. kind of hollywoodish and high budget, but it looks like it has some good gore. any good?

The Mothman 11-05-2005 07:09 PM

no one seen it?

RavageRitual 11-06-2005 10:32 AM

It aired on Sci-Fi awhile ago, not that good man, its worth a look though, dont expect that much though.

ItsAlive75 11-06-2005 12:29 PM

Stupid flick. Zombie bites don't turn you into a zombie, according to ASD's rules.

gorefreak 11-07-2005 05:25 AM

Are you kidding? What's the point of going out of your way to watch it then? Sounds like a borefest.

Dia De Los Muertos (all souls day)

The Mexican celebration known as Dia De Los Muertos- "Day of the Dead" - honors both life and death.

Has any1 here seen this film ? i thought it was pretty good.. anyone else here a fan of the movie

urgeok 01-18-2006 01:02 PM

i think this is on anchor bay and the ad is on the Dead and Breakfast DVD .. it didnt look too bad from the ad

The STE 01-18-2006 01:17 PM

fairly good sign the movie will suck: "Dia De Los Muertos" =/= "All Souls Day"

The_Return 01-18-2006 01:18 PM

I saw the trailer on the Dead and Breakfast DVD, too. It looks OK...not great, but maybe worth watching sometime

manicmyk 01-18-2006 06:31 PM

I am always up for a good Zombie flick. It sounds original. I like it when they bring a new twist to an old legend.

ItsAlive75 01-18-2006 09:45 PM

Saw it on sci-fi and it sucked.

urgeok 01-19-2006 05:53 AM

thats too bad .. i generally like the films anchor bay are associated with... but they do release a few stinkers.

svg 01-19-2006 09:18 AM

i myself am a sucker for any type of films related to zombies or horror

i agree some parts could have been better but it was still a pretty ok flick

the story concept has been used a few times, cause day of the dead can bring all sorts of mysteries & mayhem but this flick i thought was better than others that have used the storyline

there is a new limited edition version of the film that has been released

The Mothman 01-19-2006 09:41 AM

i posted a thread abot this a while ago. the poeple who said they had saw it said it was pretty bad, but im still interested.

manicmyk 01-19-2006 12:54 PM

Hey, you got a link to the thread you posted? I am really curious as to what other Zombie fans thought of it.

ItsAlive75 01-19-2006 01:21 PM

It's probably worth one of those "Mystery Science Theatre" viewings, but I wouldn't recommend buying it... unless ya gotta fill up the collection.

...poor Jeffrey Combs.

bloodrayne 01-20-2006 02:55 AM

I was VERY surprised to see Jeffery Combs in this one...It definitely does NOT do him justice...

It wasn't the worst horror movie I've ever seen, but it IS the worst horror movie with Jeffery Combs in it that I've ever seen...

I'd still watch it again, it's better than a lot of others

It just REALLY needed more Jeffery Combs...And, in a bigger, better role...

Ach!...I tried to erase those from my memory...Full Moon videos SEVERELY let me down, after the mid 90's

slasherman 01-20-2006 07:25 AM

is this Rubenmania's Movie Reviews part 2 ?

svg 01-21-2006 09:28 AM

i would like to read your review on the film

well yeah like i said it isnt the best, however it isnt the worst either

so just thought i would give a heads up that there is a new limited edition version of the film out that is suppost to contain a bunch of extras ( i always like checking out all of the extras on disc

for those that havent seen the movie, then here is a media player that you can check out to find some video clips, pics & other things Media Player

KathyBrowncoat 01-24-2006 11:32 PM

Thanks for posting the media player link... the pics are great. I'm a sucker for movies with good make-up jobs, when the make-up is crap I just don't get sucked in... I spend the entire movie complaining that with everyone having a bad hair day it MUST be a dream sequence.

(I actually tried to convince my friends that an entire ep of ST:Voyager was a dream sequence because EVERYONE was having a bad hair day! Course it was also a pretty bad ep! :) )

I"ll have to watch for the DVD to fall into my budget.

Thanks again for the post... I SUCK at surfing the web for stuff like the player, yet I always wish I'd found them...

darkangl2025 01-26-2006 12:43 PM

Ooh, All Souls' Day...the one that just came to DVD with Danny Trejo. That was a great movie! It is definitely worth renting, or even buying since you can find it pretty cheap at target or walmart or even amazon.com. I love the Dia de los Muertos theme to it. I must admit it isnt a typical zombie film, not another DotD or Resident Evil, but possibly even better. The DVD has excellent cover art and great extras. You should check it out. Anyone else see it?

The Mothman 01-26-2006 04:23 PM

wow this is sure a hell a different opinion.

VampiricClown 01-26-2006 05:49 PM

It aired on sci-fi. Don't expect much.

RavageRitual 01-26-2006 08:28 PM

The Extras are the only good thing about the entire dvd.

Being associated with the dvd or film will give you an overly optimistic view.
