Worst DVD Purchases of 2005?

Every year you look back at the 100's of Films youve bought that youve put all your hard worked money into. What are the films you bought that you'd love to get your money back for.

The_Return 12-24-2005 07:07 PM

I only paid $3 for it, but Jigsaw was the biggest waste of pocket change EVER. I coulda bought some gumballs....

Same here. That was quite a disappointment.

whats dissapointing is I was looking so forward to seeing it, it looked pretty good from the case. Dont judge a movie by its case! I guess.

My husband got me a 6 movie DVD set of movies made from Stephen King stories. Problem is - I've never seen a decent movie made from a King story, so I'll probably never crack the wrapper.. But I acted thrilled .... at least he knew I like King.

Ha ha I bought that only because an actress I worked with...was in it.

Jane Scarlett

i rented this: Aussie park boys.
i sat there for 90 mins totally stunned at how bad this movie was, i can't even begin to put it into words how bad it was, the full package, shite story, shite acting & laughable dialogue, piss poor camera work & editing a kind of Warriors rip off set in Australia.

Forgot about that one, it was pretty bad.:)

The_Return 12-26-2005 04:21 PM

Yikes, I feel sorry for those of you who wasted hard earned money on Darkness and Boogeyman. I saw one in theatres and rented the other, both of which are decisions that I deeply regret....

Yellow Jacket 12-26-2005 04:45 PM

Bleed

I can't believe I spent $7 dollars on this piece of shit! But, I did get to trade it at BlockBuster for $5. Still the worst movie I bought this year!

...I'll take it...

I have no regrets, I'm a careful buyer.

Haunted 12-27-2005 09:22 AM

I still have time to go out and buy The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I will see if that's any good.

filmmaker2 12-27-2005 07:17 PM

I bought a DVD of "The Last Unicorn" which was a great animated film until they RUINED IT. Turns out they had to re-submit it to the MPAA to renew their G rating, and they were told they had to cut a "hell" and a "damn you" out of the dialogue. So in these scenes you can see the characters' lips moving but the dialogue is just gone. That blows! $11.99 down the drain.

slasherman 12-28-2005 10:16 AM

... bought "Suspiria" this year and saw it for the first time...and it was a dissapointment...maybe I was expecting too much...

Nana_baby 12-28-2005 10:26 AM

Evenesecence-tour dvd it suck so bad!!!!!

stubbornforgey 12-28-2005 11:32 AM

Darkness..'sigh'

what is it when a small town girl from your
country gets an acting part in a movie..so the whole of your community goes in support and buys it..

Luckily em not that supportive. :D

29.95$ on the last unicorn..
couldve saved the whales with that money.

Zombee 12-28-2005 02:06 PM

Hide and Creep..My god the front cover had the nerve to say it was better than Shaun of the Dead. This was quite possibly the worst movie ever...Ok it was not worse then Desperately Seeking Susan but it was bad.

Front cover of "Darkness Falls" said it ran rings around "The Ring". Usually when they say that its just a blatant lie.
