Best Game of the Year (2005)

Whats your pick?
I'd have to say Tekken 5 followed by Resident Evil 4.

Freak 12-06-2005 11:58 AM

Resident Evil 4 with out a doubt.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks

It's about time that the MK series came out with a good adventure game.

Thats actually worth playing? I havent bothered, looks pretty bad. Take 2 of the worst MK characters and give 'em their own game? Wtf? Why not somebody cool, like Reptile and Scorpion...could be a reluctant ally type thing, being that they are bitter enemies.

IDrinkYourBlood 12-06-2005 07:24 PM

MK was cool....when I was in elementary school.

Shaolin Monks is a lot of fun but I don't think it's GotY, hell Warriors was a better beat em' up and I don't think it's even good enough. RE 4 was great so for me it would probably be a toss up between it and Jade Empire which was simply amazing. Oh, maybe WoW... and F.E.A.R... some pretty good games came out this year that I didn't remember about I see. Oh well, Mario Kart DS.

I don't play that many video games, so I didn't have much to choose from. Unless, I would've said Fantastic Four, but that wasn't much of a playable game, so I went with this one.

My vote has changed to Resident Evil 4! Got this little gory gem for Christmas, and have been having a blast with it! Though, I haven't played it in awhile. I'm too addicted to Smackdown! vs. Raw 2006's General Manager Mode. Some fun shit to be had in there!

RE4. No real competition here. The new Fatal Frame game came out in 2005, but I haven't played it yet, so I can't say if it would be better.

Despare 02-12-2006 07:51 AM

Half Life 2, there's just so much to it and with all the mods vailable now and in the future I'll be playing it for years to come.
