Horror Book Review forum

Hello, Everybody. Glad to see Horror.com back, up and running.

I was wondering if anyone here could offer some advice on websites that do book reviews or / and author interviews in the horror and paranormal genres.

I am an Active Member of the Horror Writer's Assn., and when I asked this question on their forum, one person had two suggestions! That was all. Surely, someone here must know of a zine or site that celebrates horror on the printed page...? I've done some web searches and whatnot, but a lot of the links are dead, or the sites are old.

Thanks in advance!

Staci

The Horror Writers Association is the site I always think of

If the Horror Writers didn't have a good answer, that's bad news. :)

One suggestion is to look in those "Writer's Market" type books, I think they might be indexed by genre, though I'm not sure without looking.

I will keep my eyes open and let you know if I see anything.

Do you have a book out that you're promoting?

stacilayne 09-23-2003 10:10 AM

Thanks for the reply! Writer's Market only lists publishers. My book is already published (or will be, on October 1) -- what I am looking for are reviewers and avenues to promote online. I have another one -- more pure horror -- coming out in December. If you're curious, you can see what they're about on my website.

I'm sensitive to the spamming issue, so with the links below come with a disclaimer: Don't click if you're not interested! :)

DARK LULLABY - paranormal romance, vampires, and voodoo

GHOST WRITER - demonic horror, murder, and nudie Polariods

I'm on email notification, just in case somebody comes across a horror website that does book reviews.

THANKS!

Staci

Staci!

Hi, Staci! Long time no talk!

I'm new to the boards, so pardon my intrusion, but I just had to jump in and say hello to an old friend . . . .

I've read GHOST WRITER, btw. Check it out, you guys. It's a helluva read from one of the best new talents in the field.

Hi, James!

Nice to "see" you. Mail me off-list and let me know what's been going on, if you have time.

Later,
Staci (who now has two 5-star reviews on the new book :))

I may be frolicking in the obvious, Staci, but have you checked out Ryan Kelley's horror.about.com ? It seems a bit mainstream in its horror book and movie reviews, but mainstream isn't all bad when you're trying to get your voice heard.

Thanks! I dropped a line to Ryan... it looks like his site is more movie-related, but he may have some suggestions for me.

Best,
Staci
