A Thread For Coffee.

Kind of like Tony Roma's is "A Place For Ribs." It's good that they have that sign because every time I drive by I think, "Ahhh...it's a place for ribs, now I know." They don't want to just say "RIBS," they want you to know that it's a PLACE for ribs. Like when you sit down, you can say, "I really feel that this PLACE is INTENDED for ribs." And in just that way, this is a thread for coffee.

Here in this magical realm, you can sit down and discuss coffee with other coffee-loving horror fans, or just sit and listen while enjoying a nice hot cup. That's the DISPENSE button on the left. Press it to enjoy your piping hot yummy COFFEE.

I am having Nescafe right now and it is a marvelous instant coffee, almost, ALMOST tastes like fresh brewed.

Angra 08-21-2005 08:57 AM

I drink it to keep from falling asleep at work. But it taste like shit. Iīm pretty sure the coffee machine is to blame...

bloodrayne 08-21-2005 09:00 AM

I don't really like coffee...BUT...I can always go for a mocha mint cappuccino or a frothy mocha latte ;)

filmmaker2 08-21-2005 09:04 AM

There is this place up the street from me that makes very good coffee. And their best thing is the Iced Latte, specially on a hot summer day. It tastes subtly sweet, but they tell me there's no sugar in there. Just coffee and milk and ice. It's so yommy!

bloodrayne 08-21-2005 09:10 AM

For some reason this thread makes me feel like I'm in Barnes and Noble's...lol.....Weird....

Do you also like to kiss her afterwards? We all know what coffee does to your breath.;)

By the way, change your avatar text, Return. It isnīt funny.:(

In terms of instant coffee, my preferred brand is Moccona, out of their varieties, I like one called "Mystique".
http://www.especiallyoffice.com/weba.../dept_623.html
Those are their varieties. It's a good brand...I find that many cheper substitutes just taste shitty and generic. If it's gonna be instant, I like it to be as good as it's gonna get.

If I feel like real coffee, I will order it ground for my espresso machine. My favourite is blend of italian espresso, french vanilla and caramel infused. I will also sometimes add chopped cinnamon quills.

I have coffee almost everyday...When I'm home it's all instant stuff, most aint that bad..But where I work just moved, and now we have a kickass machine. It grinds the beans, and brews and mixes right there, good shit. Make's a kick ass French vanilla latte.
MY FAVORITE is the white chocolate mocha from Gloria Jeans.

filmmaker2 08-21-2005 10:57 AM

quote from Moconna Coffee website:

"Moccona Temptation is soft and full-bodied with great depth and an intense lingering finish. Dark-roast Arabica beans are blended with a hint of premium Robusta to produce smooth caramel notes that provide a velvety mouth-feel and avoid bitterness. Let yourself be tempted."

huh huh huh....they said "velvety mouth-feel."

huh huh huh huh huh huh huh huh

moonsorrow 08-21-2005 10:59 AM

barbra 08-21-2005 11:37 AM

You kids ever get the chocolate dipped spoons for your coffee?
I like Jamaican Blue Mountain myself.:D

Haunted 08-21-2005 12:06 PM

I'd love to invite you guys over for a cup of some good brew. We special order it from Salt Lake City. They roast their own, and it's part of the "Free Trade" thing that preserves rain forest and supports local growers all over the world.

PLUS!! The coffee is outstanding, so rich and fullbodied.

novakru 08-21-2005 04:49 PM

RoLLiNLiGhTs 08-21-2005 06:24 PM

I love coffee...When I wake up in the morning and all through the day...I have to have my coffee....then at night it's gotta be an ice cold brew in my hand...:D

filmmaker2 08-21-2005 10:16 PM

And everyone bring their fav roast and everyone MUST sample everyone else's-after that....we can TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

Grounded idea filmaker2.

filmmaker2 08-22-2005 06:01 AM

For flavor, personally, I like-a the Kona, but it's kinda rare and pricey.

Here's an idea, why don't we all have coffee whenever we log on here, and then bump into each other

Are you drinking coffee? Yes Are you drinking coffee? Yes

Ahhhhhh

Ahhhhhhhh

novakru 08-22-2005 06:07 AM

A lady from Puerto Rico once made me some "spanish coffee"
I had 3 sips and didn't sleep for 4 days.
It was good,smooth-rich and had a sharpness I can't quite define.

From what I hear,Americans brew their beans too weak.
Someday-I will go to Italy and drink coffee
And france-to drink....coffee
I wonder what Austrailian beans taste like?
One day I will know
one day.....

filmmaker2 08-22-2005 06:25 AM

Well, major chains of any type...Starbucks etc. ...seem to brew theirs pretty weak. "I want a cup of coffee, not a cup of water with nuances of coffee essence!" Starbucks has their weird obsession with making sure their coffee has lots of WATER in it. Hmm, I guess that's a good way of making MONEY offa ya.

"Barista? What the heck is a fuckin' barista???"

I love coffee. Enough to work in the busiest espresso shop in town. The smell is wonderful, the tips are great, and the coffee is delicious. I love my job.

Really? I would think you would get very grumpy people, seeing how they haven't HAD coffee yet.
I love nice coffee fixers at the book store, they make me want to spend MONEY.
That's a tip for all you ASSHOLES with attitudes that work retail.

I am going into retail.....when my kids go back to school.
Never did it before, but there is a new Bed Bath and Beyond coming soon and I really REALLY want to work in the Beyond section.

Rebel Yell 08-23-2005 08:37 PM

My customers love me. I have only had a handful of angry people come in since I started working there 4 and a half months ago.
