Cat horror flim?????

Hello......

I have been trying to place this flim I seen a few years ago on tv maybe hbo or something around halloween time.

Its not cat eyes , or pet semetary.. But I am thinking it has the same grey cat in it.....

From what I rememeber a couple moves into a new home, I'm thinking with a little girl and she finds a cat then soon after all these cats are breeding or come from outta no where and take over the house. I rememeber the womans sister came over the house (who i think sold the house to them) and the cats kill her and go on to kill the others........

Does anyone know the name or where I can buy it?

Thanks:D

After reading that description It's hard to believe you actually want to see it again.

DraculaInDallas 08-17-2005 01:10 AM

I think that would be "Pussies Gone Wild" starring Miko Lee and Fujiko Kano :p

Marroe 08-17-2005 01:23 AM

"Sleepwalkers"?

Don't think so....the movie he/she is describing has the cats being evil and they weren't in Sleepwalkers.

I was just about to start a thread about cat horror!

filmmaker2 08-17-2005 06:07 AM

"Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse" (1960)

filmmaker2 08-17-2005 06:11 AM

Okay, so I clicked on Zwoti's IMDB link, and............Shaun Cassidy wrote this?????

Okay, that's--completely bizarre!

urgeok 08-17-2005 06:11 AM

as a rule ... 'cat' and 'horror film' shouldnt be in the same sentance.
I know there are people who think cats are creepy (god knows why) and every now and then someone tries to capture that in a horror movie ..

they're always funny as hell...

anyone here seen 'night of 1000 cats' or something like that ? the one where this young playboy lives in a house full of cats - just running around ...being thrown at the camera..etc ..

or what about that moronic old standby used in every shock film .. there is a noise .. then the closet door is opened - and a cat is forceably propelled at the persons head.

cats dont lock themselves in closets - and they dont jump out of them on a straight line .. they are careful jumpers because they cant see non moving things too well and are cautious even jumping from a 1 foot height ..

cats and horror films dont mix ..

Could it be "Strays"?

Sorry; I'm not clicking links, as I'm browsing on a PDA right now and it's not showing me underlines. All I saw was "I have no idea".

Thanks,

you better not be trying to steal the limelight :D

filmmaker2 08-17-2005 10:17 AM

I had a cat horror film last night when one of my cat friends hauled off and slashed my arm, just because he was feeling like a cat.

I said, "Kitty!! Why did you do that??"

and he said

"No reason....I just LIKE doing things like that!"

Your avatar looks like my cat,Wolfgang.
He is a serious badass-I even have a small leather-spiked collar for him.
He brings me small not-quite-dead animals, but I get his message=He loves me.

novakru 08-17-2005 10:40 AM

To stay on this thread kindasorta.

Last year my youngest decided to"walk" the cat, using hair ribbon.
She came running outside to me saying"Wolfie is spitting".
So I run inside and there's the poor cat strangling because the ribbon is stuck and he is dying.
Both my girls are sceaming and crying.....So I run up,grab the cat,who proceeeds to tear my arm up,break the ribbon just as he starts to pass-out.
He survives and he has to be down 4 or 5 lives now.
(And he has been taken to the vet 2x for tangling with snakes.)

I thought Cat People was an excellent movie(the orignal)

Sin City is out!!
But a long wait on Netflix.

I think it was you that mentioned you liked Sin City?

filmmaker2 08-17-2005 11:44 AM

I also liked the Alan Ormsby-scripted remake.

Concerning "The Uncanny" now--I notice that zwoti has mentioned this several times and every time he sneezes and says something unintelligible. I looked "The Uncanny" up on imdb. Looks interesting. Lots of people seem to think that it's bad, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is. Is this a special film, zwot?

As a side note, Peter Cushing's character is named Wilbur Gray--exactly the same name of Lou Costello's character in ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN. Weird!

Wilbur Gray seems to think that cats are after us all and are going to take over the world. He's wrong! It's not cats, it's squirrels. They are the ones.

Dario Argento did a good job with "The Black Cat" in 1990. There's another movie that delivers on the creepy cats, starring Keye Luke, called "The Cat Creature".

film should have so much better, but it's a poor attempted cash in on the successful formula that amicus had been using for years

most of the hong kong DVDs are bootlegs ... usually cheap and good quality but bootlegs just the same.
it depends on how you feel about that ..
